OTAGO.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago, containing by admeasurement 120 acres, more or less, situate in Naseby District, being Section No. 23, Block I., on the map of the said district. Bounded towards the North and North-west generally by a road-line, 3399·8 links; towards the North-east by Crown lands, 3277·1 links; towards the East by a road-line, 1463·2 links; towards the South by Crown lands and Block VI., 3965·3 links; and towards the West by the said Block VI., 2922·9 links. For a recreation-ground.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago, containing by admeasurement 2 acres, more or less, situate in the Kurow District, and being Section No. 9, Block IV., of said district. Bounded towards the North by Crown lands, 400 links; towards the East by Crown lands, 500 links; towards the South by Crown lands, 400 links; and towards the West by Crown lands, 500 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a site for a cemetery.

SOUTHLAND.

All that parcel of land in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 15 acres 3 roods 21 perches, more or less, being Section No. 1, Block X., Township of Hirstfield. Bounded towards the North-east by Denhigh Street, 528·1 links; towards the East by Frome Street, 858·5 links; towards the South-east by Aurum Street, 1122·7 links; towards the South-west by Sections Nos. 6 and 7 of said block, 1100 links; and towards the North-west by Tramway Reserve, 1392·5 links: excepting from the above-described area a water-race intersecting same. For a recreation-ground.

Changing the Purpose of a Portion of a Reserve in the Nelson Land District.

WHEREAS the provisions and the requirements of the seventh section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” have been duly complied with in respect of the land described in the first column of the Schedule hereto: And whereas notices in the Gazette have been duly published for four consecutive weeks, and laid before both Houses of the Assembly, as provided by the ninth section of the said Act: And whereas no resolution of either House of Assembly has been passed that such House does not concur in the intention declared in any such notices:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the seventh section of the Act aforesaid, do hereby define the change of purpose of the land described in the second column of the Schedule hereto to be from that named in the first column of the Schedule to that named in the third column of the Schedule hereto respectively.

SCHEDULE.

Description and Purpose of Original Reserve. Portion of which the Purpose is changed. Purpose.
All that parcel of land in the Township of Cobden, Provincial District of Nelson, containing 2 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the North by Fox Street, 500 links; towards the East by Newcastle Street, 400 links; towards the South by Bright Street, 500 links; and towards the West by Sturgo Street, 500 links. Reserved by Order in Council issued on the 7th January, 1869, for a site for public buildings or other purposes of the General Government. All that parcel of land in the Township of Cobden, Provincial District of Nelson, containing 32 perches, more or less. Bounded on the North-eastward by Section No. 175, Fox Street, 100 links; on the South-eastward by Section No. 31, Bright Street, 200 links; on the South-westward by Bright Street, 100 links; and on the North-westward by Section No. 33, Bright Street, 200 links. For a site for a library.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this seventh day of September, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six.
