Extending Season for killing Hares in North Canterbury District.

WHEREAS by a warrant made under "The Animals Protection Act, 1882," and the Acts amending the same, dated the sixteenth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the eighteenth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, it was notified, amongst other things, that hares might be taken or killed within the North Canterbury District, from the first day of April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six: And whereas it is expedient to extend the time for taking or killing hares within the said district:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers vested in me by the said Animals Protection Acts, do hereby notify that hares may be taken or killed within the said North Canterbury District until the thirty-first day of August, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this fourth day of August, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six.

Trustees appointed for the Maintenance of the Opunake Public Cemetery.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the forty-fifth section of "The Cemeteries Act, 1882," I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the local authority specified in the first column of the Schedule hereto to have the control and management of the public cemetery specified in the second column of the said Schedule.

The Taranaki County Council.
All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of Taranaki, containing by admeasurement 8 acres and 39 perches, more or less, being Section No. 63, Block I., Opunake Survey District. Bounded towards the North by Section No. 62, 604.6 links; towards the East by Section No. 64, 1192.6 links; towards the South-east by Rahotu Road, 695.8 links; and towards the West by a road, 1536.8 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this thirtieth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six.

Trustees appointed for the Kyle Cemetery.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the sixth section of "The Cemeteries Act, 1882," I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Robert Mulligan and Daniel Buckley to be Trustees, in the place of John H. Rogers and John Loudon, resigned, to provide for the maintenance and care of the Kyle Cemetery, in conjunction with the other persons appointed by warrant under the hand of His Excellency the

Governor on the eighth day of October one thousand eight hundred and eighty-three.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this thirtieth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the sixth section of "The Cemeteries Act, 1882," I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint James Cogan to be a Trustee, in the place of John Brown, resigned, to provide for the maintenance and care of the Kimberley Cemetery, in conjunction with the other persons appointed by warrant under the hand of His Excellency the Governor on the twenty-fourth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-nine.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this thirtieth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the sixth section of "The Cemeteries Act, 1882," I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the several persons whose names are specified in the first column of the Schedule hereto to be Trustees to provide for the maintenance and care of the public cemetery specified in the second column of the said Schedule.

Returning Officer, &c., Pahiatua Town District, County of Wairarapa East, appointed.

Colonial Secretary's Office,
Wellington, 2nd August, 1886.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Albert West Sedcole to be the Returning Officer to conduct the first elections of seven Commissioners of the Town District of Pahiatua, as constituted under "The Town Districts Act, 1881;" also to appoint Friday, the 3rd day of September, 1886, to be the time, and the Pahiatua Road Board office, Pahiatua, to be the place, for holding such first elections; and also to appoint Tuesday, the 7th day of September, 1886, at 7 o'clock p.m., to be the time, and the said Pahiatua Road Board office to be the place, at which the first meeting of the Commissioners of the said Town Board shall be held.
