described in the Schedule thereto is declared to be brought under the operation of and to be subject to the provisions of the said “Public Domains Act, 1881:”

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the Colony of New Zealand, doth, by this present order, delegate all the powers conferred by the Act first above mentioned, except the powers under or conferred by sections five and twelve, to the under-mentioned persons, who shall be known as the Pembroke Domain Board, namely,–

EDWARD HARVEY THOMAS,
WILLIAM ALLAN,
JOEL CAYFORD,
JOSEPH BARCLAY EWING,
JOHN IRONSIDE,
ROBERT STEWART, and
ROBERT McDOUGAL

(herein referred to as “the Board”), subject to the stipulations hereinafter contained, that is to say,–

  1. The Board shall meet for the transaction of business on the first Saturday in each month, at eight o’clock p.m., at Pembroke, or at such other time or place as may from time to time be fixed by the Board. The first meeting shall be held on Saturday, the twenty-first day of August, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six.

  2. Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman or by any two members of the Board, provided that two days’ notice of such meeting be given to each member, specifying the business to be transacted at such special meeting, and no other business than that so specified shall be transacted at such meeting.

  3. Any three of the said Board shall form a quorum. Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time.

  4. The members of the Board shall, at their first meeting, and thereafter at an annual meeting to be held on the second Saturday in January in every succeeding year thereafter, elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join in the discussion, and shall have an original as well as a casting vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of his successor.

  5. If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the time appointed for holding the same, the members present shall choose some one of their number to be Chairman of such meeting.

  6. If, by resignation, death, or incapacity, or otherwise, the office of Chairman shall be or become vacant, the members may at any monthly or special meeting appoint a Chairman.

  7. All questions shall be determined by the majority of votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.

Vesting Reserves in the Borough of Onehunga.

WHEREAS by section seventeen of “The Land Act, 1885,” it is provided that the reserves to be made for any borough or town district under such section shall be made only in cases where no such reserves for the purpose of sections three, five, and six of “The Plans of Towns Regulation Act, 1875,” exist therein, or, if existing, do not equal or exceed the amount of reserves authorized to be made under such last-mentioned Act:

And whereas the existing reserves for the Borough of Onehunga do not equal the amount of reserves authorized to be made under “The Plans of Towns Regulation Act, 1875,” and it appears expedient to make the reserves hereinafter mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by the seventeenth section of “The Land Act, 1885,” and of all other powers enabling me in this behalf, do hereby declare that the lands enumerated in the first column of the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby reserved for the purpose stated opposite to the descriptions of such land in the second column hereto, for the benefit of the Borough of Onehunga, as constituted under the provisions of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1876,” on the nineteenth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-seven.

BOROUGH OF ONEHUNGA.
All that parcel of land containing 2 acres 2 roods 38 perches, situate in the Borough of Onehunga, being Lots Nos. 13, 14, and 15 of Section No. 44 of the Town of Onehunga. Bounded towards the North by Lot No. 12 of Section No. 44, 398 links; towards the East by Captain Spring’s Road, 674 links; towards the South-west by May’s Road, 689 links; and towards the North-west by Lot No. 11, Section No. 44, 689 links. Endowment in aid of the borough funds.
Also all that other parcel of land containing 1 acre 2 roods 22 perches, situate in the above-named Borough of Onehunga, being Section No. 25A of small lots, Town of Onehunga. Bounded towards the North by Section No. 25, 455 links; towards the East by Section No. 26, 340 links; towards the South by Slaughterhouse Road, 520 links; and towards the West by Alfred Street, 340 links.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this thirtieth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six.
