NOTICE is hereby given that EDWARD WATERS, Patent
Agent, of Melbourne, in the Colony of Victoria,
has applied, on behalf of the firm of THOMAS HOLLOWAY,
trading at No. 78, New Oxford Street (late of 533, Oxford
Street), London, in England, Patent Medicine Vendors, to
register, under "The Trade Marks Act, 1866," the trade
marks numbered from 1 to 8, of which the following is a
description, viz.:—
Description of Trade Marks.
No. 1 consists of an oblong label bearing the representa-
tion of an arch, beneath which, and seated upon a throne, is
the figure of a woman holding in her left hand a goblet, from
which a serpent is drinking. At the foot of the throne, on
the left stands a little child, and on the right are seated a
negro and a white woman. On the upper portion of the
arch are the words "Health for all," and on the lower
portion are the words "Holloway's Pills, 533, Oxford St.,
London."
No. 2 consists of an oblong label, in the upper portion of
which, amidst scroll-work, are two angels, each in the act of
blowing a trumpet. Intertwined amongst the scroll-work is
a ribbon enclosing the word "By," and bearing the words
"A cure for all." "Holloway's Ointment." Beneath the
scroll-work, &c., is the figure of an aged man holding in each
hand a pot of ointment, whilst around him are the figures of
men and women in various attitudes of supplication. In
the lower portion of the label, on the left is the partially-
