Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is taken for the purposes above mentioned.

A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the one hundred and ninety-seventh section of “The Land Act, 1885,” and of every other power and authority enabling me in that behalf, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the sections of land enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be subject to the provisions of sections one hundred and ninety-eight to two hundred and nineteen of Part VII. of “The Land Act, 1885,” relating to small grazing runs.

Land set apart on Deferred Payments in Otago.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the one hundred and fourth section of “The Land Act, 1885,” it is enacted that the Governor, by Proclamation in the Gazette, may from time to time set apart out of any suburban or rural lands such blocks or allotments of land as he shall think fit, and set the same aside for sale on deferred payments, and in such Proclamation may fix a day on which the land shall be open for application; and that he may also in like manner set apart for sale on deferred payments such blocks or allotments as may be recommended by any Land Board, and may also from time to time alter, amend, or revoke any such Proclamation:
And whereas the Land Board of Otago has passed a resolution recommending that the land described in the Schedule hereto annexed should be set apart for sale on deferred payments:
And whereas it is expedient to give effect to the aforesaid recommendation, and to set apart the said land accordingly:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the above-named Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is set apart for sale on deferred payments; and that Wednesday, the sixteenth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, shall be the day on which the said land shall be open for application, in allotments as surveyed and marked on the selection map in the principal land office of the district.
And, further, in pursuance of the one hundred and tenth section of “The Land Act, 1885,” I do hereby fix the price at which the land so described shall be sold to be the price stated in the Schedule hereto.

WHEREAS by two Proclamations issued under “The Native Committees Act, 1883,” bearing dates respectively the sixteenth day of January, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four, and the ninth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, and published in the New Zealand Gazette dated respectively the twenty-fourth day of January, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four, and the eighteenth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, certain districts therein described were declared to be Native districts under and for the purposes of the said Act: And whereas it is expedient to revoke the said Proclamation bearing date the sixteenth day of January, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four, so far as regards the Rotorua District therein mentioned, and to create a new district as hereinafter set forth: And whereas it is expedient to revoke the said Proclamation constituting the Ngaiterangi District, bearing date the ninth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, and to create a new district as hereinafter set forth;
