Land set apart on Deferred Payments in Southland.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the one hundred and fourth section of
"The Land Act, 1885," it is enacted that the
Governor, by Proclamation in the Gazette, may from time
to time set apart out of any suburban or rural lands such
blocks or allotments of land as he shall think fit, and set
the same aside for sale on deferred payments, and in such
Proclamation may fix a day on which the land shall be open
for application; and that he may also in like manner set
apart for sale on deferred payments such blocks or allot-
ments as may be recommended by any Land Board, and
may also from time to time alter, amend, or revoke any
such Proclamation:
And whereas the Land Board of Southland has passed
a resolution recommending that the land described in the
Schedule hereto annexed should be set apart for sale on de-
ferred payments:
And whereas it is expedient to give effect to the aforesaid
recommendation, and to set apart the said land accordingly:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance
and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the
above-named Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the
land described in the Schedule hereto is set apart for sale on
deferred payments; and that Wednesday, the twenty-eighth
day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six,
shall be the day on which the said land shall be open for
application, in allotments as surveyed and marked on the
selection map in the principal land office of the district.
And, further, in pursuance of the one hundred and tenth
section of "The Land Act, 1885," I do hereby fix the price
at which the land so described shall be sold to be the price
stated in the Schedule hereto.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
is vested in certain aboriginal natives of New Zea-
land, subject to certain restrictions on the alienation of such
land, and application has been made for the removal of
such restrictions:
It is hereby notified that it is the intention of His Excel-
lency the Governor, immediately after the expiration of sixty
days from the publication of this notice in the Gazette and
in the Kahiti, to remove the said restrictions on the aliena-
tion of the said land.
