THE following special order, made by the Waimea County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Counties Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1882.”

SPECIAL ORDER.

I, the undersigned, Clerk of the Waimea County Council, hereby certify that the following resolution has been duly passed by the said Council, at their meeting held at Nelson, on Wednesday, the 17th day of March, 1886, and that the requirements of the Acts have been complied with:—

“That a special order be now made to alter the boundaries of the Richmond Road District, to dissolve the Richmond Road Board, and constitute a new district to be named the Richmond Road District; and that Augustus George Brock, of Richmond, be appointed Returning Officer for the first election of the Board. Such Board to consist of six members, and the election to be held at the Richmond Road Board Office the first week in May, 1886.”

Boundaries of the Richmond Road District.

To include the whole of the Stoke Outlying District and the Richmond Road District, except that portion taken to constitute the Town District of Richmond.

SPECIAL ORDER.

I, the undersigned, Clerk of the Waimea County Council, hereby certify that the following resolution has been duly passed by the said Council, at their meeting held at Nelson, on Wednesday, the 17th day of March, 1886, and that the requirements of the Acts have been duly complied with:—

“That a special order be now made to dissolve the Waimea Road Board and constitute two new road districts.

“That the first be named the Spring Grove Road District; the Board to consist of five members; and that Eliab Baigent, of Lower Wakefield, be Returning Officer, and that the election take place at the Courthouse, Brightwater, in the first week of May, 1886.

“That the second be named the Waimea Road District; the Board to consist of six members; and that Eliab Baigent, of Wakefield, be Returning Officer, and that the election take place at the Temperance Hall, Wakefield, in the first week of May, 1886.”

Boundaries of the Spring Grove Road District.

Commencing at the western corner of Section No. 40, Block IX., Waimea Survey District; thence down the bank of the Wai-iti River to its junction with the Wairoa River; thence up the left banks of the Rivers Wairoa, Roding, and Lee, following the boundary-line of the Richmond Road District to the intersection of the south-eastern boundary-line of the Richmond Road District; thence along the said south-eastern boundary-line of the Waimea Road District, 3 miles; thence in a westerly direction to the southern corner of Section No. 64, Block XIII., Waimea Survey District; thence along the north-western boundary of Sections Nos. 64, 63, and 62 to Section No. 61; thence along the south-western boundaries of Sections Nos. 61, 28, 131, 126, 48, 117, 76, 80, 44, 13 of 112, Waimea Survey District, south boundary of Section No. 63 to ridge, along ridge and west boundaries of Sections Nos. 217A, 217B, and south-western and western boundaries of Section No. 15 to western corner of Section No. 14, Wai-iti District; thence along the north-eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 14, 13, 17, 11 of 112, 12 of 112, and 113 to the Wai-iti River.

To embrace the whole of the present Waimea Road District not included in the Spring Grove Road District.

Notice of Proposed Loan, Borough of Onehunga.

THE attached notice, received from His Worship the Mayor of Onehunga, is published in accordance with “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1876.”

SIR,—I have the honour to inform you that the Onehunga Borough Council having proposed to raise a loan of £5,000 for a water-supply for the borough, a poll on the proposal was taken on Thursday, the 18th instant, in accordance with the provisions of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1876,” and its amendments, and that the result of the poll was as follows:—

For the proposal .. .. 241 votes.
Against the proposal .. .. 26 votes.

As the number of votes recorded for the proposal (241) exceeds one-half of the total number of burgesses on the roll (383), the resolution was declared by me to be carried.
