Portion containing 5 acres and 35 perches: Commencing at a point on the south-eastern boundary of the Tauranga Kawaau Block at a distance of 975 links from its southern-most angle, being the middle of the road above referred to; and thence continuing northerly generally for a distance of 5219 links to the road lastly hereinbefore described: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on Plan No. 3491, deposited in the Survey Office, at Auckland.
Date of Governor's warrant, 29th November, 1882.
All those parcels of land in the Provincial District of Auckland, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 2 roods 6 perches, and 2 roods 39 perches, respectively, more or less, situate in the Coromandel Survey District, and being road-lines, each 100 links wide, traversing the Hoehoewaka Block, No. 1738:—
Portion containing 2 acres 2 roods 6 perches: Commencing at the confluence of the Waiau and Waihoehoewaka Streams; and thence continuing easterly and south-easterly generally for a distance of 2540 links or thereabouts to the south-eastern boundary of the aforesaid block at a distance of 140 links or thereabouts from the Waiau River aforesaid.
Portion containing 2 roods 39 perches: Commencing at a point on the southern side of the road hereinbefore described at a distance of 150 links or thereabouts from the Waihoehoe-waka Stream aforesaid, being the middle of the road above referred to; and thence continuing southerly generally for a distance of 744·6 links or thereabouts to the south-western boundary of the aforesaid block at a distance of 300 links or thereabouts from the stream before named.
Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on Plan No. 3491, deposited in the Survey Office, at Auckland.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auckland, containing by admeasurement 3 acres and 14 perches, more or less, situate in the Coromandel Survey District, and being a road-line, 100 links wide, traversing the Tukura Block, No. 2301; commencing at a point on the Tukura Stream at a distance of 810 links or thereabouts from its confluence with the Waiau Stream, being the middle of the road above referred to; and thence continuing south-easterly generally for a distance of 3085 links or thereabouts to the Hinou Stream, at a distance of 140 links or thereabouts from its confluence with the Waiau Stream aforesaid: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on Plan No. 3491, deposited in the Survey Office, at Auckland.

Amalgamating Licensing Districts.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section three of "The Licensing Act Amendment Act, 1882," I, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the Licensing Districts of North-East Valley North, North-East Valley East, and North-East Valley West shall be amalgamated under the name of the North-East Valley Licensing District, as from the fifth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five; and that, as from the said date, the said Licensing Districts of North-East Valley North, North-East Valley East, and North-East Valley West shall be abolished.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in Her Majesty's Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is vested in certain aboriginal natives of New Zealand, subject to certain restrictions on the alienation of such land, and application has been made for the removal of such restrictions:

It is hereby notified that it is the intention of His Excellency the Governor, immediately after the expiration of sixty days from the publication of this notice in the Gazette and in the Kahiti, to remove the said restrictions on the alienation of the said land.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece of land situated in the District of Wellington, containing 2 acres 2 roods 10 perches, be the same a little more or less, being that piece of Native land called or known by the name of Orangikaupapa number 5, and numbered 3336, and being the whole of the land comprised in Crown grant, Register-book, Volume xxi., folio 229. And also all that piece of land situated in the County of the Hutt, containing 3 acres and 7 perches, be the same a little more or less, and being the lot numbered 10 on the plan of the Orangikaupapa Native Reserve, and being the whole of the land comprised in the certificate of title, Register-book, Volume xxi., folio 234.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under "The Public Works Act, 1882," for a certain work, to wit, the construction of a road in Waihemo County, Provincial District of Otago:

And whereas the Waihemo County Council has laid before the Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration, as required by the said Act:

And whereas the lands described in the first and second paragraphs of the Schedule hereto were alleged to be, or to comprise or include, a plantation or plantations: And whereas, in pursuance of section four of "The Public Works Act 1882 Amendment Act, 1884," the Governor in Council has consented to the taking of such lands, notwithstanding that they were alleged to include or comprise a plantation or plantations as aforesaid:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by section eleven of "The Public Works Act, 1882," and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the land so described shall become absolutely vested in fee-simple in Her Majesty, discharged from all mortgages, charges, claims, estates, or interests of what kind soever, for use as a road.
