Vesting a Reserve in Otago.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by "The Special Powers and Con-
tracts Act, 1885," I, William Francis Drummond Jervois,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby vest
in the Education Board of the District of Otago, for a school
site, all that area of land in the Provincial District of Otago,
containing by admeasurement one acre twenty-three and
seven-tenths perches, being part of a reserve for a road-line,
situate to the south-east of Sections numbers seventy-two
and seventy-three, Block five, Dunedin and East Taieri Dis-
trict, commencing at peg six of original road traverse.
Bounded thence towards the North-west by a chain-wide
road, known as the Main Road, Dunedin to Waitati via the
Water of Leith, a distance of three hundred and twenty-
six and two-tenths links; again and finally towards the
South-west, South, North-east, and North-west by other part
of said road reserve, a distance of one thousand one hundred
and ninety-four and six-tenths links, to the commencing
point: be all the aforesaid linkages and area a little more or
less.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this sixteenth day of October, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-five.

Vesting a Reserve in Otago.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by "The Special Powers and Con-
tracts Act, 1885," I, William Francis Drummond Jervois,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby vest
in the Education Board of the District of Otago, as a school
site, all that area in the Provincial District of Otago, con-
taining by admeasurement nine acres two roods eight
perches, more or less, being part of Section number twelve,
Block one, Akatore District; commencing at a point distant
two thousand five hundred and seventy-five and two-tenths
links west and nine hundred and seventy-three and seven-
tenths links north from the south-east corner of said section.
Bounded thence towards the East by another part of said
Section number twelve, one thousand one hundred and ten
links; towards the North by another part of said section,
nine hundred and sixty-two and eight-tenths links; towards
the West by another part of said section, one thousand one
hundred and seventy-three and two-tenths links; and
generally towards the South by a public road, three hundred
and nine and eight-tenths links, sixty-six and four-tenths
links, one hundred and sixty-two and four-tenths links, two
hundred and sixty-five links, and three hundred and ninety-
eight links, to the commencing point: as the same is shown
on a plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Dun-
edin.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this sixteenth day of October, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-five.

Vesting a Reserve in Otago.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by "The Special Powers and Con-
tracts Act, 1885," I, William Francis Drummond Jervois,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby vest
in the Trustees of the Milton Atheneum, for the purposes of
the said atheneum, to be dealt with under the provisions of
"The Milton Atheneum Reserve Act, 1876," all that parcel
of land in the Provincial District of Otago, containing by
admeasurement forty acres, more or less, situate in the
Akatore District, and being Section number two of eleven of
Block one of said district. Bounded towards the North by
Section number nine of same block, one thousand seven
hundred and eleven links; towards the East by Section
number one of eleven of same block, two thousand five
hundred and ninety links; towards the South by Section
number two of thirteen of same block, one thousand one
hundred and forty-five links; and towards the West and
South-west by a road-line, two thousand six hundred links:
be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this sixteenth day of October, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-five.

Authorizing the Corporation of Hampden to make Regula-
tions for the Use of the Hampden Commonage.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by "The Special Powers and Con-
tracts Act, 1885," I, William Francis Drummond Jervois,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby
authorize the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the
Borough of Hampden to make such regulations and by-laws
for the use of the commonage and for the payment of such
fees as may be deemed expedient. The proceeds accruing
from the commonage to be devoted to fencing, grassing, or
otherwise improving the land; any balance of proceeds to be
deemed revenue of the borough.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this sixteenth day of October, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-five.

Vaccination Districts constituted.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in the
Governor by "The Public Health Act, 1876," I, William
Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of
New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing vaccination dis-
trict known as the Auckland District; and do declare that
the territory heretofore comprised within the said district is
hereby divided anew into two vaccination districts, the
names whereof shall be the Great Barrier and Auckland
Districts, and the boundaries whereof shall be coterminous
with the boundaries of the marriage districts bearing the
same names as are set forth in a Proclamation of even date
herewith, made under the provisions of "The Marriage Act,
1880."

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this twentieth day of October, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-five.

Fixing Sittings of District Court of Christchurch.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority in
this behalf enabling me, I, William Francis Drummond
Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do
hereby fix and appoint that sittings of the District Court of
Christchurch, for civil business, shall be held as follows,
from and after the first proximo, in lieu of those previously
fixed and appointed:β€”

In the Provincial Council Chamber, Christchurch, on the
eighth day of every month.

Provided that, in case any day so fixed as aforesaid shall
happen to be a Sunday or a holiday, then the Court ap-
pointed for that day shall be holden on the first day there-
after not being a Sunday or a holiday.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this twenty-first day of October, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-five.
