of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said
Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington,
this eleventh day of July, in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five.

SCHEDULE.

All that piece of land in the Parish of Puniu, County of
Waikato, containing 33 acres, be the same a little more or
less, being part of Allotment No. 14 of the said parish, and
part of the land described in Vol. xxiv., folio 239, of the
Register-book, and fully delineated upon those parts of a
subdivision of the said Lot No. 14, marked respectively D
and E upon such plan. Bounded towards the North-east by
Allotment No. 344, 900 links; towards the South-east and
East by a road-line, 1331 links; towards the South by a
road-line, 745 links; towards the South-west by a road-line,
1085 links; and towards the North-east by a road-line, 2085
links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-eighth
day of July, 1885.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS it appears to the Governor that burials in
the cemetery in the Borough of Ross, described in
the Schedule hereto, should be wholly discontinued: And
whereas a sufficient cemetery not within the limits of any
borough or town district has been provided and has been
prepared for the interment of the dead as required by "The
Cemeteries Act, 1882:"

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
Colony of New Zealand, and in pursuance of the authorities
vested in him by the said "Cemeteries Act, 1882," doth
hereby order and direct that, from and after the first day
of February, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six,
burials within the cemetery in the Borough of Ross, de-
scribed in the aforesaid Schedule, shall be wholly discon-
tinued.

SCHEDULE.

BOUNDED on the North-westward by Hampton Street, 500
links; on the North-eastward by the Church of England
Reserve 400 links, and Duff Street 100 links; on the South-
eastward by waste land, 500 links; and on the South-west-
ward by waste lands, 500 links: a block, 5 chains square,
containing 2 acres and 2 roods, and numbered 1 on the map
of the Town of Ross.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this ninth day of
June, 1885.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him
by "The Public Works Act, 1882," and of all other
powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excel-
lency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor
of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth
hereby order that the Government work known as the Wel-
lington-Napier Railway (from seventy-two to seventy-eight

miles from Napier) shall and may be constructed on or
through the parcels of land mentioned in the Schedule
hereto.

Notice of Intention to change the Purpose of a Portion of
a Reserve.

WHEREAS by "The Public Reserves Act, 1881," it is,
amongst other things, enacted that the Governor
may declare his intention to make, change, exchange, or
alter the dedication of any public reserve now or hereafter
vested in Her Majesty or the Governor for any of the pur-
poses named in Class II. of the Schedule to the said Act,
whether the same be granted or not; and, in the case of any
reserves made under the authority of section one hundred
and forty-four of "The Land Act, 1877," if it shall, in the
opinion of the Governor, be expedient to change the purpose
of such reserves or any part thereof from the purpose or pre-
sumed purpose for which it was set apart to any other pur-
pose, or if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be expe-
dient to exchange any of the land comprised in such reserve
for other land of equal value, to be dedicated to one or more
purposes named in the said Class II., the Governor may, by
notice in the Gazette, declare his intention to make such
change, exchange, or dedication, as the case may be, and in
such notice declare the manner and terms in which the same
is intended to be so made:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby, in
exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested
in me by "The Public Reserves Act, 1881," aforesaid, declare
my intention to change the specific purpose of a portion of
the reserve described in the first column of the Schedule
hereto, the area of which is described in the second column
of the said Schedule, to the specific purpose set opposite such
description in the third column of the said Schedule.
