HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Monday, the 25th May instant, to be the day for the celebration of Her Majesty's Birthday, as the 24th May falls this year on Sunday.

Fallow Deer at Tauranga turned at large by Tauranga Acclimatisation Society.

HIS Excellency the Governor directs it to be notified that the Tauranga Acclimatisation Society have turned at large eight fallow deer in the Tauranga District, and that the property in such deer and their offspring is deemed to be absolutely vested in the Chairman of the said Tauranga Acclimatisation Society for a period of three years from the date hereof, as provided by section 38 of "The Animals Protection Act, 1880."
