Portion containing 18 acres 2 roods 3 perches: Commencing at a point on the south-western boundary of the Kahukuri Block aforesaid at a distance of 2785 links or thereabouts from its south-western corner, being the middle of the road above referred to; and thence continuing northerly and north-easterly generally for a distance of 18575 links or thereabouts to its northern boundary, and to a point on the same 9540 links or thereabouts distant from its north-western angle: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on Plan No. 3337, deposited in the Survey Office at Auckland.

Date of warrant, 23rd May, 1883.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auckland, containing by admeasurement 4 acres and 20 perches, more or less, situated in the Kaipara Survey District, and being a road-line 100 links wide traversing the western portion of the Tungotungou Block, No. 2209; commencing at a point on the northern boundary of the Tungotungou Block aforesaid 5323 links or thereabouts distant from its north-eastern angle, being the middle of the road above referred to; and thence continuing southerly generally for a distance of 4172 links or thereabouts to a point on the southern boundary of the aforesaid block at a distance of 313 links or thereabouts from the Kaipara River: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on Plan No. 3406, deposited in the Survey Office at Auckland.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auckland, containing by admeasurement 4 acres 1 rood 6 perches, more or less, situated in the Kaipara Survey District, and being a road-line 100 links wide traversing the western portion of the Unahirere Block, No. 280; commencing at a point on the northern boundary of the Unahirere Block aforesaid at a distance of 1300 links or thereabouts from the Kaipara River, being the middle of the road above referred to; and thence continuing south-easterly generally for a distance of 4293 links or thereabouts to the southern boundary of the block aforesaid, and at a distance of 5323 links from the south-eastern angle of the Unahirere Block aforesaid: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on Plan No. 3406, deposited in the Survey office at Auckland.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1882,” for a certain work, to wit, the construction of a road in Cook County:

And whereas the Cook County Council has laid before the Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration, as required by the said Act:

Now, therefore, I, George Marsden Waterhouse, in the name and on behalf of His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, and as his duly-appointed Deputy, in pursuance of the powers and authorities in him vested by section eleven of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling him in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the land so described shall become absolutely vested in fee-simple in Her Majesty, discharged from all mortgages, charges, claims, estates, or interests of what kind soever, for use as a road.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auckland, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, situated in the Waimata Survey District, in the Ormond Highway District, and being a portion of a road-line of irregular width traversing the south-western portion of Sec-
tion No. 4; commencing at the Waipaoa River termination of the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 4. Bounded—South-westerly by the Waipaoa River; North-easterly by lines, 683 and 800 links respectively; South-easterly generally by lines, 50 and 143 links respectively, to the commencing point: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 11871, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington.

Now, therefore, I, George Marsden Waterhouse, in the name and on behalf of His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, and as his duly-appointed Deputy, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred by section eleven of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling him in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the land so described shall become absolutely vested in fee-simple in Her Majesty, discharged from all mortgages, charges, claims, estates, or interests of what kind soever, for use as a road.

ALL that parcel of land containing by admeasurement 17 perches or thereabouts, be the same more or less, being part of Section No. 813 on the map or plan of the Chief Surveyor of the Land District of Canterbury, setting out and describing the rural land in the Christchurch District; commencing at a point being the south-eastern corner of Section 24051. Bounded—Westerly by a line, 63 links; South-westerly by a line, 191 links; South-easterly by a line, 50 links; North-easterly by a line to commencing point, 229 links.

Also all that parcel of land containing by admeasurement 1 acre 3 roods 15 perches, or thereabouts, be the same more or less, being part of Sections Nos. 813, 241, 82, and 2115 on the map or plan of the Chief Surveyor of the Land District of Canterbury, setting out and describing the rural land in the Christchurch District; commencing at a point on the north-eastern boundary of Section No. 813 distant from the southernmost corner of Section No. 24051, 229 links, measured south-easterly, and in a straight line with a bearing of 115° 31' 30" along the said north-eastern boundary. Bounded—North-easterly and Northerly by lines, 2225, 501, 538, and 813 links respectively; Southerly and South-westerly by lines, 824, 557, 516, and 2233 links respectively; Westerly by a line to commencing point, 50 links: as the same is more particularly delineated upon the plan marked P.W.D. 11881, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works at Wellington.
