in the form of an arch, are the words “Corporate Mark,” and underneath it is the word “Advance,” thus :—
CORPORATE MARK.
ADVANCE
No. 2 consists of the device of a circular saw, within which concentrically are the representations of two other successively smaller circular saws, and within this smaller saw and concentrically therewith are the representations of two wire gauges, one smaller than the other, the larger one being represented in deep black and the smaller one in white, thus :—

Nature of the Articles to which it is intended such Trade Marks shall apply.
As to No. 1: To cast steel, steel sheets, and all unwrought and partly-wrought metals used in manufacture, files, saws, knives, shears, and tools of every description having a cutting edge, and hammers and other metal goods.
As to No. 2: To saws of every kind.

County of Oroua to be included in the Wanganui District for collecting Duty under “The Beer Duty Act, 1880.”
CUSTOMS.—Whereas by order of the Commissioner of Trade and Customs, No. 133, dated the second day of October, one thousand eight hundred and eighty, the District of Wanganui was appointed to be a district for the purpose of levying and collecting the duty imposed by “The Beer Duty Act, 1880,” which said district included the County of Manawatu: And whereas by Proclamation of the Governor, dated the twenty-fifth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-three, a portion of the said County of Manawatu has been proclaimed and declared to be a new county, to be called the County of Oroua :
Now, therefore, in exercise of the power in me for this purpose vested by “The Beer Duty Act, 1880,” I, the Commissioner of Trade and Customs, do hereby order that the said County of Oroua, as defined in the First Schedule to the said recited Proclamation, shall be included in the said District of Wanganui for the purpose of levying and collecting the duty aforesaid.
Given under my hand, at Wellington, this seventh day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four.

Approving and appointing a Bonding Warehouse.
CUSTOMS.—In exercise of the powers in me for this purpose vested by “The Customs Laws Consolidation Act, 1882,” I, the Commissioner of Trade and Customs, do hereby approve and appoint the under-mentioned warehouse to be a warehouse for the reception of goods under bond :—
Port of Patea.
A portion of the Railway Goods Shed, partitioned off at the north end thereof, situated on the Railway Reserve, Town of Patea.

ENTRANCE TO PORT TEPUNA AND KERI KERI RIVER, BAY OF ISLANDS.

NOTICE is hereby given that a red buoy has been placed in 5 fathoms of water on the south-east edge of the Brothers Shoal, and a black buoy in 5 fathoms on the north-east edge of the Slain’s Castle Shoal.

HARBOUR LIGHTS, PORT OF HOBART.
On and after the 1st July, 1884, a fixed blue light will be exhibited from sunset to sunrise on the end of the Dunn Street Pier.
On and after the 1st July, 1884, a fixed white light (opaque) will be exhibited from sunset to sunrise on the end of the Elizabeth Street Pier.
The present green light on the end of Argyle Street Pier, and the fixed red harbour light on Battery Point, south-east side of Sullivan’s Cove, will be exhibited as before, from sunset to sunrise.

CAPE NELSON LIGHTHOUSE.
REFERRING to Notice to Mariners dated the 25th May, 1883, it is now notified that on and after the 7th July, 1884, a light will be exhibited from the lighthouse at Cape Nelson.
The light, which is a first order fixed light, with dioptric illuminating apparatus, is elevated 250 feet above the level of the sea, and should be visible in clear weather at a distance of nineteen nautical miles.
A white light will be seen from seaward over an arc of 189 degrees; a ray of red light will be shown to the eastward over the Lawrence Rock; and a ray of red light also to the westward over the southernmost point of Cape Bridgewater, and one mile to seaward of such point.
The bearings (magnetic) on which the light will be seen from seaward are as follows: Red, from W.S.W. to W. ½ S.; white, from W. ½ S. round northerly to E. ½ S.; red, from E. ½ S. to E. by S.
The lighthouse is 79 feet high, constructed of stone, and painted white.
Position (approximate): Lat. 38° 25′ 45″ S., long. 141° 32′ 55″ E.
