NOTICE is hereby given that EDWARD WATERS, Patent
Agent, of Melbourne, in the Colony of Victoria, has
applied, on behalf of CREWDSON, CROSSES, AND COMPANY,
LIMITED, trading as Cotton Spinners and Manufacturers, at
40, Portland Street, in the City of Manchester, in England,
to register, under “The Trade Marks Act, 1866,” the trade
marks numbered from 1 to 4, of which the following is a
description, viz. :—
Description of Trade Marks.
No. 1 consists of the name “Crewdson & Compy,” with
the word “Manufacturers” underneath, thus :—

MANUFACTURERS.
No. 2 consists of the device of three mice arranged within
a circle in such a way as that the hind feet of each are near
the centre, and the head of each is over the hind quarters of
the next, the whole being surrounded by two concentric
circles, between which, at the top, is the name “Crewdson &
Co.,” and at the bottom is the word “Manchester,” thus :—
No. 3 consists of the representation of both sides of two
medals. Above one medal are the words “Prize Medal,”
and below it the word and figures “London, 1862,” and
above the other medal are the words “Prize Medal,” and
below it the word and figures “Paris, 1867.” Above, below,
and at the right-hand side of such medals are the words
Crewdson & Compy. Manufacturers,” thus :—

No. 4 consists of the words “Crewdson & Compy.
Manufacturers,” below which are the words “Prize Medal
Calicoes.” Underneath these words is the representation of

words “Crewdson & Compy. Manufacturers,” is the device of
