HIS Excellency the Governor will hold a Full-dress Levée at Government House, on Saturday, the 28th June, at 12 noon, in honour of Her Majesty’s Birthday.
Gentlemen attending the Levée will wear uniform or evening dress, and are requested to bring with them two visiting-cards, their names legibly written or printed thereon; one card to be left at the entrance-hall, and the other to be given to the Aide-de-Camp.

Sir,—I have the honour to request that your Excellency will be kind enough to take measures for the publication in the New Zealand Government Gazette of the following regulation which has been passed by me for the Western Pacific, under the provisions of the Order in Council of 1879.
I should be glad also if intimation were given that a knowledge of this regulation will not be presumed against vessels until 1st September, unless they shall have left a port in any Australasian Colony more than one month after the publication of the regulation in such colony.
