ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this tenth day of June, 1884.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS it has been made to appear that certain things required to be done by “The Counties Act, 1876,” in connection with the making and revision of the county roll of the County of Hokianga cannot be done by or within the times required by the said Act:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him by the said “Counties Act, 1876,” and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby extend the times for doing the said things in connection with the county roll of the said County of Hokianga, and doth declare that the time for the doing of such several things shall be those which are specified in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
- Objections to rolls received: Until the 13th June, 1884.
- Day appointed for revision of roll: Some day on or after the 14th June, 1884, but Revision Court shall not sit after the 30th June, 1884.
- Roll shall come into force: On the 1st July, 1884.

Special Order, Patea County Council.—Wairoa Road Board dissolved.

THE following special order, made by the Patea County Council, is published in accordance with “The Counties Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1882.”

SPECIAL ORDER.
I, the undersigned, Clerk to the Patea County Council, hereby certify that the following resolution has been duly passed by the said Council, at their meeting held at Patea on Thursday, the 5th day of June, 1884, and that the requirements of the Act have been duly complied with:—
That a special order be passed dissolving the Wairoa Road Board; that the district be reconstituted without subdivisions, number of members six; that John Jordan be appointed Clerk and Returning Officer; and that the election of the Board be held at Fisher’s store, Waitotara, on the 1st July, 1884, under the provisions of section 49 of “The Road Boards Act, 1882,” and that the first meeting of the Board be held at Fooke’s office, Waverley, on the 5th July, 1884, at 2 p.m.

Special Orders, Wairarapa East County Council.—Taueru and Alfredton Road Districts constituted.

THE following special orders, made by the Wairarapa East County Council, are published in accordance with “The Counties Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1882.”

SPECIAL ORDER.
This Council hereby, by special order, declares those portions of the Masterton Road District and Castlepoint Road Districts, situate in the County of Wairarapa East, comprising one continuous area, and contained within the following boundaries,—that is to say, commencing from Trigonometrical Station, Arawaru, on the Tararua Range, and bounded generally towards the North by a right line from the commencing point to the western angle of Section 1, Block XIV., Mangahao, by the last-mentioned section and Section 1A, across a public road, Sections 5, 4, 3, 4A, 33, 27, across a public road, and Section 30, all in Block III., and Section 30A, Block IV., Mangaone; thence in a right line crossing all public roads from the south-east corner of the last-mentioned section to Trigonometrical Station, Puketoi; generally towards the East by a right line from the last-mentioned trigonometrical station to the north-west corner of Section 50; thence by Sections 50 and 51, Block VII., Puketoi, to the Tiraumea River, by the centre of that river to its confluence with its tributary the Waitawhiti Stream, by that stream to Section 174, Block XI., Puketoi, by the last-mentioned section and Section 175 of the same block, and by the western boundary of the last-mentioned section produced until it reaches the centre of the Taueru River, by that centre until it reaches a point in line with the northern boundary of Section 143, Block II, Mangapakeha; generally towards the South by the last-mentioned section and that boundary produced until it meets the dividing line between the College and Educational Reserves, by the Educational Reserve and Section 131, Block I, Mangapakeha, by Sections 21, 17, 18, 101, and 100, Block IV., Kopuaranga, by the centre of a public road and the Wangaehu Valley Road to a point in line with the northern boundary of Section 103, Block III., Kopuaranga, and by a right line bearing 295° 30′ magnetic from the last-mentioned point to the Tararua Range; and generally towards the West by that range to the commencing point,—shall constitute a new road district, to be called the Alfredton Road District. That the number of members for the Alfredton Road District shall be six, but the said new district shall not be divided into subdivisions.
SPECIAL ORDER.
This Council hereby, by special order, declares those portions of the Masterton Road District and Castlepoint Road District, situate in the County of Wairarapa East, comprising one continuous area, and contained within the following boundaries,—that is to say, commencing at a point in the centre of a public road in a line with the eastern boundary of Section 98, Block III., Kopuaranga, and bounded generally towards the North by the centre of the public road aforesaid, by Sections 95, 96, and 16, Block IV., Kopuaranga, by Sections 22, 27, 26, and the College Reserve, Block I., Mangapakeha, by a right line being the northern boundary of Section 143, Block II., Mangapakeha, produced and extended to the centre of the Taueru River, by that centre and by Section 824, Block III., Mangapakeha; generally towards the East by Sections 156, 155, 154, and 153, Block III., Sections 811, 812, and by 869, Block VI., Sections 870, 871, 875, across the public road, parts 1 and 2 of Section 874, Block X., Sections 867 and 518, Block XIII., all of the Mangapakeha, by Section 524, Block I., Rewa, and by Section 523, Block IV., Otahoua; generally towards the South by Sections 14, 89, 92, and 96, Block IV., Otahoua, by the centre of the Taueru River to its confluence with its tributary the Mangatopitopi Creek, by that creek until it meets a line from Trigonometrical Station, Te Ore Ore, bearing 74° 28′ 38·1″ magnetic, by that line to the centre of the Wangaehu River, by the centre of that river to Section 5, Block XV., Kopuaranga, by Sections 5 and 3, Block XV., by Sections 6, 5, 4, 3, 9, and 120, Block XI., by Sections 113, 114, 210, and 118, Block VII., all of the Kopuaranga, by the centre of a public road, and by Section 107, Block VII., and Section 98, Block III., Kopuaranga, to the commencing point,—shall constitute a new road district, to be called the Upper Taueru Road District. That the number of members for the Upper Taueru Road District shall be five, but the said new district shall not be divided into subdivisions.
I certify that the special orders made on the 13th day of March, 1884, by the County Council of Wairarapa East, constituting the Alfredton and the Upper Taueru Road Districts, have been duly made in accordance with the provisions of “The Counties Act, 1876,” and its amendments, and “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”
