A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1882,” for a certain work, to wit, the construction of a road in Waipa County, Provincial District of Auckland:

And whereas the Waipa County Council has laid before the Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration, as required by the said Act:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by section eleven of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the land so described shall become absolutely vested in fee-simple in Her Majesty, discharged from all mortgages, charges, claims, estates, or interests of what kind soever, for use as a road.

ALL that parcel of land containing by admeasurement 1 acre and 7 perches, situated in the Parish of Tuhikarama, in the Newcastle Highway District, and being a road-line traversing Allotment No. 31, commencing on the south-eastern boundary of Allotment No. 31 at a point distant 150 links from its southernmost angle.
