NOTICE is hereby given that the following special resolutions were passed at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of the Bismarck Gold-Mining Company (Limited), held at the company’s office on Thursday, the 13th day of November, 1884, and confirmed at a subsequent meeting held on Monday, the 1st day of December, 1884:—

That the Bismarck Gold-Mining Company (Limited) be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of “The Companies Act, 1882.”

That Mr. F. A. WHITE be appointed Liquidator.

THE WAKATIPU STEAM NAVIGATION COMPANY (LIMITED), IN LIQUIDATION.
AT a meeting of contributories of the Wakatipu Steam Navigation Company (Limited), in liquidation, held at the office of the undersigned, on the 1st day of December, 1884, the following resolution was carried :—
“That this meeting is of opinion that the affairs of the Wakatipu Steam Navigation Company (Limited), in liquidation, have been fairly wound up.”

SOUTHLAND COUNTY.
PURSUANT to the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” it is hereby notified that the Southland County Council require the land described hereunder for the purpose of a public road. A plan marked S, and description of the same, will be open for public inspection at the Council’s office, Invercargill, at all reasonable hours, for a period of forty days from date hereof.
All persons affected by the taking of the said land are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections thereto, and to serve the same upon the County Clerk, at Invercargill, before the expiration of forty days from date hereof.
Description of Land: All that piece or parcel of land in Southland District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres and 30 perches, more or less, being a portion of Sections 35, 36, and Education Reserve, Block VIII., New River Hundred, and bounded as follows, namely, by a line commencing at south-west angle of Section 35 aforesaid due north, a distance of 4372 links; thence due east, 50 links; thence due south, 4372 links; thence due west, 50 links, to the starting point.

COOK COUNTY COUNCIL.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of the Cook County Council to execute a public work, by making a deviation in the line of the Gisborne-Opotiki Main Road, and for that purpose to take from Sections 44 and 59, Muhunga Block, Waimata Survey District, the land described in the accompanying Schedule. The works to be executed on this line of road are formation and metalling for a width of 40 feet, and construction of drains for the passage of surface-water. Plans of the land proposed to be taken may be seen at the offices of the Ormond Road Board, Ormond, and of the County Council, Gisborne.
Any persons having any objection to the proposed works are required to state their objections in writing, and send the writing to the office of the Cook County Council on or before the 9th day of January, 1885.
SCHEDULE.
ALL those parcels of land in the Provincial District of Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand, containing by admeasurement 22 perches, and 1 acre 3 roods 33 perches, respectively, more or less, situated in Waimata Survey District, in the Cook County, and being portions of a road-line, 100 links wide, traversing the Muhunga Block.
Portion containing 22 perches: Commencing at Trigonometrical Point H (iron pin), being also the north-eastern diagonal of peg No. 1, Gisborne-Opotiki Road. Bounded towards the North-east by a line, 239·9 links; towards the South-east by a line, 123·3 links; and towards the South-west by a line, 170·5 links, to the commencing point.
Portion containing 1 acre 3 roods 33 perches: Commencing at the south-eastern angle of the portion of road-line hereinbefore described. Bounded towards the North-east by a line, 462·1 links; towards the East by a line, 1710·1 links; towards the West by lines, 415·3 links and 1260·6 links; towards the South-west by a line, 437·9 links; and towards the North-west by a line, 123·3 links, to the commencing point: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on Plan No. 3675, deposited in the Survey Office at Auckland.
