Mining Notices.
To the Mining Registrar at Naseby of the Mining District of Mount Ida, and all other persons whom it may concern.
TAKE notice that it is intended to construct a Dam-bank and Reservoir for the storage of water for the purpose of irrigation, and that the following are the particulars respecting such dam-bank and reservoir: The locality is on Run No. 222, about 38 chains distant in a north-northeasterly direction from the north-eastern angle of Section 1, Block V., Maniototo District, and about 40 chains south-south-east of Trig. Station V. The length of the proposed dam is 7 chains; the greatest height is 4 feet 6 inches; the greatest breadth of base is 12 feet; the area of the reservoir is 4 acres or thereabouts; and the reservoir is situate on the line of a water-race held by the applicant under license dated 21st November, 1883, numbered 1841; in connection with which race the dam-bank and reservoir will be used.
