Ruapekapeka Survey District, and being Allotments Nos. 170
and 171, commencing at the north-western angle of Allot-
ment No. 171. Bounded-Northerly by a line, 326 links;
generally Easterly by the Waiomio River; South-easterly by
a line, 458 links; South-westerly by a line, 126 links;
Westerly by a line, 953 links; North-westerly by a line, 462
links, to the commencing point; save and excepting a road-
line, 100 links wide, and containing 1 acre 1 rood and 24.5
perches, which intersects the area above described: be all
the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated
on plan marked P.W.D. 10705, attached to the memorial
above referred to.

Vesting Reserves in the Eyreton Road Board.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this eighteenth
day of September, 1883.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto
were reserved for gravel purposes: And whereas, in
the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said
lands in the Road Board of the Eyreton District:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of the Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the
powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of
"The Public Reserves Act, 1881," doth hereby declare that,
from and after the day of the date hereof, the said reserves
shall become vested in the Road Board of the Eyreton Dis-
trict, in trust for gravel reserves.

Vesting a Reserve in Canterbury.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this eighteenth
day of September, 1883.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by "The Special Powers and Contracts
Act, 1883," I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
colony, do hereby vest part of Reserve No. 178, containing
180 acres, which was Crown-granted on the 21st February,
1870, to the Superintendent of Canterbury and his successors
in trust as a site for a ferry, in the Board of Conservators of
the South Waimakariri District, in trust for the improve-
ment and protection of the banks of the Waimakariri River.

Changing the Purpose of a Portion of a Reserve in Canter-
bury.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this eighteenth
day of September, 1883.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the first column of
the Schedule hereto was reserved for police purposes:

And whereas the said reserve is for one of the purposes
comprised in Class I. of the Schedule to "The Public
Reserves Act, 1881," and in the opinion of the Governor it
is expedient to change the purpose of a portion of such
reserve to another of the purposes named in the said Class I.,
as hereinafter mentioned:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the
powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of
"The Public Reserves Act, 1881," doth hereby order and
direct that the purpose of the portion of the reserve men-
tioned in the first column of the Schedule hereto, the
area of which is described in the second column of the said
Schedule hereto, shall be changed from that of a reserve for
police purposes, and doth hereby declare and define the pur-
pose of the said portion of the reserve to be that specified in
the third column of the said Schedule, the same being one
of the purposes comprised in Class I. of the Schedule to the
said Act.

Te Aroha Recreation-grounds brought under "The Public
Domains Act, 1881."

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this eighteenth
day of September, 1883.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by
the twenty-fourth section of "The Public Reserves
Act, 1881," I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
colony, do hereby order and declare that the reserves made
for public recreation in the Provincial District of Auckland,
and known as the Te Aroha Recreation-grounds, and de-
scribed in the Schedule hereto, shall be and the same are
hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be
subject to the provisions of "The Public Domains Act,
1881"; and such domain shall hereafter be managed, ad-
ministered, and dealt with in manner directed by the said
Act.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasure-
ment 121 acres, more or less, being the northern portion of
Section No. 5, Block XI., Te Aroha Survey District, Pro-
vincial District of Auckland. Bounded on the North by
Township Reserve, 1271 links; on the North-east by a public
road, 3279 links; on the South-east by southern portion of
Section No. 5, 5085 links; and on the West by Section No. 4,
5911 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasure-
ment 39 acres 2 roods, more or less, being Section No. 8,
Block XI., Te Aroha Survey District, Provincial District of
Auckland. Bounded on the North by Township Reserve,
594 links; towards the North-east by Section No. 13, Block
IX., 1892 links; towards the East by a public road in a
curve; towards the South-east by Section No. 6, 980 links;
towards the South-west by a public road, 2606 links; and
towards the North-west by Section No. 8A, 1420 links: be all
the aforesaid linkages more or less.
