W HEREAS by a Royal Commission under the hand of His Excellency the Governor in Council dated
the twenty-second day of May, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-two, the undersigned was
appointed a Commissioner to inquire into the claims of all or any Aboriginal Natives, claiming to be owners
or otherwise beneficially interested in any of the reserves set apart for Native purposes in the Provincial
District of Wellington, or into the purposes and objects for which such lands may have been intended, and
in pursuance of such inquiry to take evidence on oath or otherwise, and to report to the Governor on the
same:

Now, therefore, in pursuance of such commission and direction I do hereby give notice that I shall on
Thursday, the fifteenth day of November and following days, at Bulls, Rangitikeil, hold an inquiry into the
claims of the said Natives to the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereunder written, and do call on all such
Natives claiming ownership or beneficial interest in such lands to appear at the above-mentioned date and
place.
