ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twelfth day of
June, 1883.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by
"The Public Works Act, 1882," and of all other powers in
anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency Sir
William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of
the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order
that the Government work known as the Cambridge-Rotorua
Road shall and may be constructed on or through the several
parcels of land more particularly described in the Schedule
hereto, and delineated in the plan marked P.W.D. 10013, de-
posited in the office of the Minister for Public Works at
Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, in the
said colony.

SCHEDULE.

COMMENCING at a point on the south-eastern boundary of
Section No. 5 of Maraeroa-Oturoa Block, No. 5478, in the Roto-
rua Survey District, and proceeding thence in a generally south-
easterly direction for a distance of 8 miles 69 chains or there-
abouts, and terminating at a point on the Rotorua and Tauranga
Road, near the Ngungotaha Creek, passing in, into, through, or
over the following lands: Native land and Maniaroa-Puruha
Block, No. 5171: the above-described road not to be less than 1
chain wide; as the same is more particularly delineated upon
the plan marked P.W.D. 10013, deposited in the office of the
Minister for Public Works at Wellington, in the Provincial
District of Wellington.

Vesting a Reserve in the Waimate Agricultural and Pas-
toral Association.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this thirtieth day
of July, 1883.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
was reserved as a site for an agricultural and pas-
toral society's show-ground: And whereas, in the opinion of
the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said land in the
Waimate Agricultural and Pastoral Association (Incor-
porated):

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the
powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of
"The Public Reserves Act, 1881," doth hereby declare that,
from and after the day of the date hereof, the said reserve
shall become vested in the Waimate Agricultural and Pas-
toral Society (Incorporated) in trust for a show-ground.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Borough of Waimate, contain-
ing 12 acres 3 roods, more or less. Bounded-Northward by
Reserve No. 1648 (in red); Eastward and Westward by the
eastern and western boundary-lines thereof produced; and
Southward by the Waimate Creek; excepting thereout a road-
line that passes through it, and excepting also the land
required for railway purposes which is particularly herein-
after described, and numbered 2549 (in red) on the official
map in the Survey Office, Christchurch. For an agricultural
and pastoral association show-ground.

The following is the description of the land excepted from
the agricultural and pastoral association show-ground, being
required for railway purposes, namely:-

All that parcel of land in the Borough of Waimate, being
part of Reserve 2549 (in red), containing 2 acres and 37
perches, and bounded as follows: On the North by a line
commencing at the south-west corner of Reserve 1648 (in
red), and running along the southern boundary of said re-
serve, 1000 links; thence on the East by the eastern boun-
dary-line of said reserve produced southerly, 50 links; thence
on the South by a line bearing at an angle of 106Β° 55' with
last-mentioned line, 1045 links, to the Gorge Road; and
thence on the West by a line running along the said Gorge
Road, 354 links, to commencing point.

Kowai Road District.-Extension of Time for Preparation of
Valuation Roll under "The Rating Act, 1882."

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, in Wellington, this thirtieth day
of July, 1883.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS it has been made to appear that owing to
unavoidable circumstances the Property-Tax Com-
missioner has failed to forward to the Kowai Road Board the
form of valuation roll required to be furnished by him under
subsection one of section eleven of "The Rating Act, 1882,"
within the time limited by the said Act; and it is expedient
that the time for forwarding such form and for taking the
several steps and doing the several matters consequent thereon
should be extended:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, by virtue and in exercise of the powers and
authorities vested in him by the said Act, and by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
colony, doth hereby order and declare that the several times
mentioned in the second column of the Schedule hereto
shall be the respective times for doing and completing the
several matters set opposite such times in the first column of
the said Schedule respectively.

SCHEDULE.

First Column, Second Column.
1. For transmitting to the Kowai Road Board form of roll to be furnished by the Property-Tax Commissioner On or before the thirty-first day of July, 1883.
2. For giving notices by Valuer appointed by the said Board under subsection 2 of section 11 of the above-mentioned Act On or before the fourteenth day of August, 1883.
3. Valuation lists to be open to inspection, and objections to assess- ments made by the said Valuer to be received Until the twenty-eighth day of August, 1883.

Vaccination Districts constituted.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in the
Governor by "The Public Health Act, 1876," I, William
Francis Drummond Jervois, Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing vaccination districts
known as the Hamilton, Thames, Tauranga, and Cambridge
Districts; and do declare that the territory heretofore com-
prised within the said districts is hereby divided anew into
five vaccination districts, the names whereof shall be the Te
Aroha, Hamilton, Thames, Tauranga, and Cambridge Dis-
tricts, and the boundaries whereof shall be coterminous with
the boundaries of the marriage districts bearing the same
names as are set forth in a Proclamation of even date here-
with made under the provisions of "The Marriage Act,
1880."

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this thirtieth day of July, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-three.
