THE following special order, made by the Mangawai Road
Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of
"The Road Boards Act, 1882."

SPECIAL ORDER.

THAT the election of the new Board shall be conducted accord-
ing to clause 49 of "The Road Boards Act, 1882."

I hereby certify that the order was duly made, as required by
section 76 of "The Road Boards Act, 1882."

of Waitemata.

SPECIAL ORDER.

I HEREBY certify that a special order, increasing the number of
members of the Devonport Road Board to nine, was duly passed
at a meeting of the Board held on Monday, 14th May, 1883.
The following is a copy of the resolution:---

Resolved, That the following special order be now made, in
accordance with section 26 of "The Road Boards Act, 1882":
that the number of members of the Devonport Road Board be
increased to nine.

Special Order made by the Wairarapa West County Council.
Authority to construct Tramway.

THE following special order, made by the Wairarapa West
County Council, is published for general information.

SPECIAL ORDER.

THAT Mr. James Stevens, of Carterton, Saw-miller, be authorized
to construct a tramway, for timber haulage purposes, across
the county road, at a point about sixteen chains northwards
from the junction of the Waihakeke Road therewith, and
across the Waihakeke Road at a point about sixteen chains
eastwards from the junction of the county road therewith.

I certify that the above special order has been duly passed by
the Wairarapa West County Council at a meeting held on the
9th day of June, 1883.

District of Bainfield.

THE following special order, made by the Southland County
Council, is published for general information.

In accordance with section 33 of "The Counties Act 1876
Amendment Act, 1882," I have the honour to forward to
you a copy of special order passed at meeting of 8th in-
stant, the provisions of section 32 of the Counties Act above
quoted having been duly carried out, also all the requirements
of "The Roads and Bridges Construction Act, 1882," being
duly fulfilled; and I hereby certify that the special order re-
ferred to has been duly made.

SPECIAL ORDER.

THAT this Council hereby, by special order, constitute the fol-
lowing area of land a special district under section 40 of "The
Roads and Bridges Construction Act, 1882," namely, all that
area of land in the County of Southland, to be known as "Bain-
field Special District," bounded as follows: Commencing at the
north-west corner of Section 14, Block IV., Invercargill Hun-
dred; thence due East to the north-east corner of Section 2 of
20, said block; thence due South to the Waihopai River;
thence along the Waihopai River to the south-east corner of
Section 10, said block; thence to a point due East of south-east
corner of Section 13, said block; thence due West to south-
west corner of said section 13; thence due North to starting-
point.
