a line along the middle of the Tokomairiro River; towards the
South-east by the ocean; towards the West by the Matau
branch of the Clutha River; towards the North and West by
the Town District of Kaitangata; again towards the North and
towards the North-west by the Crichton Road District to
Mount Misery; thence by Sections Nos. 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29,
30, 1 of 31, 2 of 32, and 33, Block I., Kaitangata Survey
District, to the place of commencement: including also all that
area known as the Town District of Kaitangata.

WALLACE COUNTY.

Otautau Riding.

All that area in the Provincial District of Otago, bounded
towards the North by the Wairio and the Taringatura Survey
Districts; towards the East and South-east generally by
Southland County; towards the South by Southland County
aforesaid; towards the South-west and towards the North-east
by the Waimatuku Subdivision of the Aparima Road District;
again towards the South by the Jacob's River Subdivision of
the Aparima Road District aforesaid; and towards the West
by the Longwood and the Waiau Survey Districts to the place
of commencement.

Aparima Riding.

All that area in the Provincial District of Otago, bounded
towards the North-east by Otautau Riding, hereinbefore de-
scribed; towards the East and South-east by Southland
County; towards the South, South-west, and again towards the
South by the ocean, the Jacob's River Estuary, and the
Pourapourakino River to the north-western corner of Block III.,
Jacob's River Hundred, and by a right line due west to the
Longwood Survey District; towards the West by that survey
district; and towards the North and towards the South-west by
the Otautau Riding aforesaid to the place of commencement.

TUAPEKA COUNTY.

Clark's Riding.

All that area in the Provincial District of Otago, bounded
towards the North by Gabriel's Riding of Tuapeka County
to the south-east corner of Block X., Taupeka East Sur-
vey District; thence towards the West by Block X. afore-
said; again towards the North by the northern boundary-lines
of Sections Nos. 10 and 11, Block IX., Tuapeka East Survey Dis-
trict aforesaid, to Bungtown Creek; thence towards the East
and South-east by that creek and the Waitahuna River to the
Township of Havelock; thence by that township to the Waita-
huna River aforesaid and by that river to Bruce County;
thence towards the South-west and again towards the South-
east by that connty to the Clutha River; thence towards the
West by a line along the middle of the Clutha River aforesaid
to the Tuapeka River; thence again towards the North and
towards the North-east by a line along the middle of the latter
river to the north-eastern boundary-line of the Waitahuna
Hundred; thence by that boundary-line to the road forming
the north-western boundary of Section No. 12, Block XI., Waita-
huna West Survey District; thence towards the North-west by
the north side of that road and of the road forming the north-
western and northern boundaries of Sections Nos. 13, 14, and 15,
said Block XI., Section No. 10, Block IX., Sections Nos. 23, 7,
6, 5, and 4, Block X., Sections Nos. 14, 24, and 13, Block VI.,
all of the Waitahuna West Survey District aforesaid; Section
No. 51, Block IV., Sections Nos. 84, 86, 77, 88, 20, 14, 13, and
43, Block V., all of the Tuapeka East Survey District; again
towards the South-west by the south-western side of the road
forming the south-western boundaries of Sections Nos. 127,
128, 122, 121, 120, 119, 118, 117, 116, and 115, Block II.,
Tuapeka East Survey District aforesaid, to the Borough of
Lawrence; and again towards the North-west by that Borough
to Gabriel's Riding aforesaid, the place of commencement.

Brown's Riding.

All that area in the Provincial District of Otago, bounded
towards the North by the Beaumont Riding of Tuapeka
County; towards tha North-east by the main interior road to
the Borough of Lawrence; thence towards the South-east again
towards the North-east and towards the North-west by the
Borough of Lawrence aforesaid; thence towards the South-east
by Clark's Riding, hereinbefore described, to the Clutha River;
and thence towards the West by a line along the middle of the
river to the place of commencement.

Extending Times for Preparation of County Rolls.

ORDER IN CUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-fifth
day of June, 1883.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

W
HEREAS it has been made to appear that, owing to
unavoidable circumstances, the preparation of the several

counties' rolls for all counties throughout the colony, and the
taking of certain steps consequent on such preparation, cannot
be made and taken within the times limited by "The Counties
Act, 1876"; and it is expedient to extend the said times
respectively:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers
conferred upon him by the said Act, and by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
colony, doth hereby order and declare that the several times
mentioned in the second column of the Schedule hereto shall be
the respective times for taking the several steps set opposite
such times in the first column of the said Schedule respectively.

SCHEDULE.

First Column. Second Column.

(1.) For preparing the rolls for (1.) Until the 16th
ridings within each county in the July, 1883.

gentlemen may be gazetted as the Mangapiko Road Board, they

SIR, In consequence of there having been a failure on the
part of the ratepayers of Subdivisions No. 1 and No. 6 of the
Wellington Road District to elect members, I am instructed to
inform you that this Council, in accordance with clause 37 of
"The Road Boards Act, 1882," did, at its meeting held yesterday
(12th June), appoint the following persons as Wardens, viz.:---

Mr. JAMES TAYLOR, Warden, Subdivision No. 1;
Mr. GEORGE PERKINS, Warden, Subdivision No. 6;
and to request that you will be good enough to cause them to
be gazetted at as early a date as possible, as the Board desire
to hold their first meeting on the 4th July next.
