Arrangements for First Elections, County of Oroua.

Wellington, 28th June, 1883.

H IS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint
HUGH LIND SHERWILL
to be the person to prepare new electors' rolls for the County of
Oroua, as constituted by a Proclamation dated 25th June, 1883;
also, to appoint the under-mentioned persons to be returning
officers to conduct the first elections of Councillors for the
following Ridings of the said County of Oroua :—

For the Kiwitea Riding:
EDMUND GOODBEHERE.

For the Waituna Riding:
HUGH LIND SHERWILL.

For the Ashurst Riding:
EDWARD HENRY WRIGHT.

For the Taonui Riding:
THOMAS SAMUEL HOE.

For the Fitzherbert Riding:
FREDERICK MOWLEM;

also, to appoint Saturday, the 21st July, 1883, to be the day for
holding the said first elections; also, to appoint Saturday, the
28th July, 1883, at half-past 12 o'clock in the afternoon, at the
office of the Manchester Road Board, Feilding, to be the time
and place for holding the first meeting of the Councillors of the
said County of Oroua.
