more or less, situated in the Tokatoka Survey District, and
being road-lines in the two former cases each 100 links wide,
and in the latter case varving in width, and traversing portions
of the Manginahae Block, No. 4191 :—
Portion containing 5 acres 2 roods 24 perches: Commencing
on the northern boundary of the aforesaid block at a distance
of 2867 links or thereabouts from its north-eastern angle; and
thence continuing south-westerly generally for a distance of
5689 links or thereabouts to the south-eastern boundary, and at
a distance of 5950 links or thereabouts from the Wairoa River.
Portion containing 1 acre and 5 perches: Commencing on the
south-eastern boundary of the Manginahae Block aforesaid at a
distance of 4003 links or thereabouts from its north-eastern
angle; and thence continuing north-westerly for a distance of
1036 links or thereabouts to its junction with the previously-
described road at the second angle on the same from the north-
ern boundary of the block above named.
Portion containing 1 acre 2 roods 16 perches: Commencing
on the south-eastern boundary of the Manginahae Block at a
distance of 3472 links or thereabouts from the Wairoa River;
and thence continuing along that boundary north-easterly for a
distance of 1139 links or thereabouts: be all the aforesaid link-
ages more or less; as the same is delineated on Plan No. 3111,
deposited in the Survey Office at Auckland.
Date of warrant, 29th August, 1882.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auckland,
containing by admeasurement 7 acres 2 roods 27 perches, more
or less, situated in the Tokatoka Survey District, and being a
road-line 100 links wide traversing the south-eastern portion of
the Horehore Block, No. 2659. Commencing at a point 5993
links distant from the easternmost angle of the aforesaid block
on the north-eastern boundary; and thence continuing south-
westerly generally for a distance of 7674 links or thereabouts to
the northern boundary of the Manginahae Block, No. 4191, and
at a distance of 2384 links or thereabouts from the north-
western angle of the latter block: be all the aforesaid linkages
more or less; as the same is delincated on Plan No. 3111,
deposited in the Survey Office ot Auckland.

Proclaiming the Taking and Laying-off of Roads over Lands
in the Wellington Provincial District.

WHEREAS by the one hundred and forty-fourth section of
"The Land Act, 1877," it is enacted that the Governor
may from time to time, either by general or particular descrip-
tion, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve
from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be

then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which, in his
opinion, are required for any of the purposes in the said section
mentioned :
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and
pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the
said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in
the Land Districts of Auckland, West Coast (North Island),
Wellington, Nelson, and Otago, described in the Schedule
hereunder written, for the purposes in the said Schedule
specified.

SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND.
ALL that parcel of land situated in the Suburbs of Auckland,
being called or known as Lot No. 68A of Section No. 10 of the
Suburbs of Auckland, and containing by admeasurement 2 roods
38 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the North by Lot
No. 68 of Section No. 10 of the Suburbs of Auckland, 870
links; towards the South-east by a road-line, 790 links; towards
the South-west, 120 links; and towards the West by a road-line,
87 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a
plantation.
Takahue Survey District: Block III., Section No. 4, con-
taining 107 acres; Section No. 5, containing 114 acres; Section
No. 13, containing 81 acres; and Section No. 14, containing
115 acres. For an experimental farm.

WEST COAST (NORTH ISLAND).
Waimate Survey District: Block III., Section No. 32, con-
taining 90 acres and 20 perches. For a school of agriculture.

WELLINGTON.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Welling-
ton, containing by admeasurement 172 acres, more or less, being
Section No. 8 of Block XII., Mangahao Survey District.
Bounded towards the North-east by Section No. 2, 5750 links;
towards the South-east by a public road, 3315 links; towards
the South-west by Section No. 11, 5130 links; and towards the
North-west by Section No. 1, 3000 links: as delineated on the
plan of the same, deposited in the District Survey Office, Wel-
lington. For primary education.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Wellington,
estimated to contain 88 acres, more or less, being a ferry re-
serve, situate on the eastern shore of the Lower Wairarapa
Lake, in the Turanganui Block, Haurangi Survey District,
in the Wairarapa. Bounded towards the North by a
Native reserve, known as Raniera's Reserve, 2057 links;
towards the East by the same reserve, 5200 links; and
towards the South and West by the Wairarapa Lake: be
all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is deline-
ated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor,
Wellington. For a ferry reserve.

NELSON.
All that parcel of land containing by admeasurement 31 perches,
be the same more or less, situated in the Land District of Nelson,
being Section No. 23, Block VI. Kawatiri Survey District.
Bounded as follows: North-westward, 112 links, North-east-
ward, 240 links, South-eastward, 117 links, and South-west-
ward, 160 links, by Crown lands; the starting-point (being
south-west angle of the above-described parcel of land) being
distant from Trig. H 6883 links, on a line bearing 66° 35' 10"
north-east from the said station. For a school site.

OTAGO.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago,
containing by admeasurement 20 acres, more or less, situate in
Otago Peninsula District, being Section No. 27, Block VII., on
the map of the said district. Bounded by a line commencing
at a point distant 150 links in a south-easterly direction, on a
bearing of 162° 30', from the south-eastern corner of Allotment
No. 9, Block XV., on the plan of the Town of Musselburgh,
deposited in the Land Transfer Office in Dunedin, and numbered
68, and proceeding in a north-easterly direction along the district
road-line, on a bearing of 252° 30', 1447 links, also on a bearing of
82° 40', 400-8 links; thence in a south-easterly direction, on a
bearing of 162° 30', 1019-6 links; thence in a south-westerly
direction, on a bearing of 252° 30', 1852-2 links; thence in a
north-westerly direction, on a bearing of 162° 30', 1092 links, to
the starting-point. For an agricultural and pastoral society's
show-ground.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago,
containing by admeasurement 25 acres 2 roods 39 perches, more
or less, situated in the Mount Hyde District, and being Section
No. 39 of Block IV. of said district Bounded towards the
orth-west by a road-line, 1522 links and 1726-4 links;
towards the South-east by a road-line, 1628-9 links; and
towards the South by Section No. 15 of Block V. of same

Land temporarily reserved in the Land Districts of Auck-
land, West Coast (North Island), Wellington, Nelsor, and
Otago.
