THE following special order, made by the Bruce County
Council, is published in accordance with "The Road
Boards Act, 1882."

SPECIAL ORDER.
COPY of special order made by the Bruce County Council on
the 1st May, 1883 :—
That the number of the members of the Tokomairiro District
Road Board be diminished to eight, two for each subdivision, so
as to comply with the provisions of sections 24 to 27 of "The
Road Boards Act, 1882."
I hereby certify that the special order of the Bruce County
Council, diminishing the number of the members of the Toko-
mairiro District Road Board to eight, two for each subdivision,
has been duly made according to "The Counties Act, 1876,"
and its amendments.

solving Temuka and Geraldine Road Boards.

THE following special order, made by the Geraldine County
Council, is published in accordance with "The Counties
Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1882."

SPECIAL ORDER.
SPECIAL order made on Wednesday, the 9th May, 1883, at
the ordinary meeting of the Council:—
That, whereas an alteration of boundaries has been effected
between the Geraldine and Temuka Road Board Districts,
and in consequence thereof it being requisite, under sec-
tion 13 of "The Road Boards Act, 1882," for the Council to
dissolve the said Road Boards and to make provision for the
elections of the new Boards, it is therefore hereby ordered that
the general elections to be held by the said Boards in accord-
ance with section 31 of the said Road Boards Act be, and is
hereby deemed by this Council to be, sufficient provisions for
the dissolution and election of the said Boards under section 13
of the said Act.
I hereby certify that the foregoing special order has been
duly made in accordance with section 13 of "The Road Boards
Act, 1882."

Special Order made by the Waitara West (23rd) Road
Board, County of Taranaki.

THE following special order, made by the Waitara West
(23rd) Road Board, is published in accordance with "The
Road Boards Act, 1882."

SPECIAL ORDER.
THE following special order was passed at a meeting of the
23rd District Road Board on the 29th March, 1883:—
That, notwithstanding the provisions of "The Local Elec-
tions Act, 1876," the election of members of the Road Board be
conducted in accordance with section 49 and its subsections of
"The Road Boards Act, 1882."
That the annual meeting of ratepayers be held at the school-
house, Tikorangi, on the first Tuesday in May, at 3 p.m.
That the election of members of the Board be held at the
schoolhouse, Tikorangi, at 4 p.m., on the first Tuesday in May.
I certify that the above special order was made in every
respect as required by law.

Special Order made by the Clive Road Board, County of
Hawke's Bay.

THE following special order, made by the Clive Road Board,
is published in accordance with " "The Road Boards Act,
1882."

SPECIAL ORDER.
At a meeting of the Clive Road Board, held on the 25th April,
1883, the following resolution was duly passed:—
Resolved, That the resolutions passed at the special meeting
of the Board held on the 15th March last, as hereafter set forth,
be confirmed:—
That, in accordance with the provisions of section 11, "Road
Boards Act, 1882," it was resolved, —
That the Clive Road Board District be divided into three
wards, to be respectively called the Clive Ward, the Tukituki
Ward, and the Pakowhai Ward.
That the Board in future consist of seven members.
That the portion of the district lying to the east of the Tuki-
tuki be called the Tukituki Ward, returning two members to
the Board.
That the portion of the district lying between the Tukituki
and Ngaruroro Rivers be called the Clive Ward, returning three
members to the Board.
That the portion of the district lying to the north of the
Ngaruroro River be the Pakowhai Ward, returning two members
to the Board.
I, Frederick Sutton, Chairman of the Clive Road Board, in
the County of Hawke's Bay, do hereby certify that the special
order passed by that Board at its meeting on the 25th April,
1883, which was duly certified by the Chief Surveyor, in accord-
ance with the provisions of section 15, "Road Boards Act, 1882,"
and forwarded to the Hon. the Colonial Secretary on the 27th
April, 1883, was legally and duly made in accordance with the
provisions of "The Road Boards Act, 1882."

Special Order made by the Richmond Road Board, County
of Waimea.

THE following special order, made by the Richmond Road
Board, is published in accordance with "The Road Boards
Act, 1882.

SPECIAL ORDER.
THE following special order was passed at a meeting of the
Richmond Highway Board, held at the Road Board office,
Richmond, on the 5th May, 1883, in compliance with a petition
signed by upwards of two-thirds of the ratepayers interested:—
That the Richmond Road District be divided into three
subdistricts, to be named Stoke, Richmond, and Hope, each
subdistrict to be represented by two members, and the boun-
daries to be as follows: Those of the Stoke Subdistrict to re-
main as at present. The Subdistrict of Richmond to comprise
all that portion of the road district lying between the Sub-
district of Stoke, towards the north, and the centre of Appleby
Road, and extending from Appleby Bridge, in the north-west,
along the said road to the eastern corner of Section 83; thence
by the western boundary of Section 43, the southern boundaries
of Sections 43, 44, and 45; thence along the eastern boundary
of Section 45 to the southern boundary of Section 51; thence
along the said boundary to the River Roding; thence across
river to its junction with the River Miner; thence by that
river to the south-eastern boundary of the road district. The
Subdistrict of Hope to comprise all the remaining portion of
the road district lying to the south-west of the boundary above
described.
I certify that the above special order was made in every
respect as by law required.

THE following special order, made by the Oteramika Road
Board, is published in accordance with "The Road Boards
Act, 1882."

SPECIAL ORDER.
THE Oteramika Road Board hereby notify their intention, by
special order, to conduct the election of members as provided
by section 49 of "The Road Boards Act, 1882."
The above special order, having been duly advertised in four
consecutive weeks, was to-day, the 2nd of May, 1883, duly
passed by the Board at the special meeting held at Mr. James
Munro's house.
