west by the said Lee Canal and part of Section No. 38, Block
III., Taieri District, to the Waipori Lake, 45000 links; thence
towards the West and North-west by the Waipori Lake to the
outlet of the Waipori River, 24000 links; thence on the South-
west by the Waipori River to its intersection with the Taieri
River, 21000 links; thence generally towards the South-east by
the Taieri River to the commencing point, 57000 links: all the
aforesaid measurements being more or less.

I hereby certify the above to be a correct copy of a special
order made by the Taieri County Council on the 27th day of
April, 1883; and that the same has been duly made in terms
of section 32 of "The Counties Act 1876 Amendment Act,
1882."

Board, is published in accordance with "The Road
Boards Act, 1882."

SPECIAL ORDER.
THAT the Heathcote Road Board hereby resolve, by special
order, that the district be divided into eight subdivisions, to be
called respectively Avon, Bromley, Ashbourne, North Opawa,
Opawa, St. Martin's, Hillsborough, and Valley Wards; that
the number of members shall be eight, one to be elected for
each of the above wards; and that this order shall take effect
from the 14th May, 1883.

I hereby certify that the above is a correct copy of a resolu-
tion passed by the Heathcote Road Board, on the 3rd May,
1883, and that the law has been complied with in all respects.

AVON WARD.
Bounded towards the North and West by the River Avon,
from the Canal Reserve to the New Brighton Bridge; towards
the South-west by said reserve and road north-east thereof;
towards the South-east generally by the New Brighton Road,
the road dividing Sections 2748 and 2749, the south-east
boundary of Section 4633, part of the north-east boundary of
Section 4636, the south-east boundary of the latter section and
of Section 4622, the road dividing Sections 16007 and 23598,
the road separating Sections 9477 and 23598, and Sections 1144
and 1145, to its junction with McGregor's Road, running
through Section 1144; and from thence by the latter road to
the aforesaid road north-east of the Canal Reserve.

BROMLEY WARD.
Bounded towards the North-east by the River Avon, from
the New Brighton Bridge to the Avon and Heathcote Estuary;
towards the East by the said estuary; towards the South-west
by the road north-east of the Canal Reserve; and towards the
North-west by the Avon Ward.

ASHBOURNE WARD.
Bounded towards the North-west by the Linwood Town
District; towards the North-east by the Canal Reserve;
towards the South-east by the Woolston Town District; and
towards the South-west by the River Heathcote and the Ferry
Road.

NORTH OPAWA WARD.
Bounded towards the North-west by Sydenham Borough;
towards the North-east by the Ferry Road; towards the South-
east by the River Heathcote; and towards the South-west by
the Christchurch and Lyttelton Railway.

OPAWA WARD.
Bounded towards the North-west by Sydenham Borough;
towards the South-west, South, and South-east by the River
Heathcote; and towards the North-east by the Christchurch
and Lyttelton Railway.

ST. MARTIN'S WARD.
Bounded towards the North by the Sydenham Borough and
the River Heathcote; towards the East by the road dividing
Sections 11 and 256, and also by the north-east boundary of
Section 30736; towards the South and West respectively by
the southern and western boundaries of the Heathcote Road
District.

HILLSBOROUGH WARD.
Bounded towards the North by the River Heathcote; towards
the East by part of the south-east boundary of Section 122,
the road dividing Sections 274 and 329, the southern boundary
of Section 966, and the eastern boundaries of Sections 388,
18457, 23558, 23559, and 23562; towards the South by the
southern boundary of the Heathcote Road District.

VALLEY WARD.
Bounded towards the West by the Hillsborough Ward;
towards the North by the River Heathcote, the Avon and
Heathcote Estuary, and the sea; towards the East by the sea;
and towards the South by the southern boundary of the Heath-
cote Road District: save and except thereout the Sumner Town
District, which is situate within the above-described boundaries.
