THE following resolution, passed by the Sandon and Carnar-
von Road Board, under "The Roads and Bridges Con-
struction Act, 1882," is published for general information.

THAT the Sandon and Carnarvon Road Board hereby resolve,
by special order, —

That the following portions of the district be districts for
rating and polling purposes, under "The Roads and Bridges
Construction Act, 1882:"—

Nos. 1 and 6 Wards, as defined in Gazette No. 109, of the
18th November, 1880, conjointly.

Nos. 5 and 7 Wards, also defined in said Gazette, conjointly.

That No. 4 Ward, also defined in said Gazette, be a district
in itself for rating and polling purposes.

I hereby certify that the above is a correct copy of special
order passed at a special meeting of the Sandon and Carnarvon
Road Board, held on the 13th April, 1883.

Rate, Henley Drainage District.

THE following special order, made by the Taieri County
Council, is published in accordance with "The Counties
Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1882."

THOMAS DICK.

SPECIAL ORDER.

THAT a special-works district be formed, to be called the
Henley Drainage District, and that, in compliance with section
48 of "The Counties Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1882," the
said district be defined in manner set forth in the Schedule
hereto; and that a special-works rate of five-eighths of a penny
in the pound, for the period ending the 31st March, 1884, be
made and levied on all property within the said Henley Drainage
District, as herein defined.

The Schedule above referred to.

Definition of Henley Drainage District: All that area of
land in the Provincial District of Otago and Colony of New
Zealand, containing by admeasurement 15,000 acres, more or
less, bounded as follows, and shown on plan coloured blue:
Commencing at a point being the intersection of a closed road-
line between Sections Nos. 1 and 3, river sections, with the
Taieri River; and bounded thence towards the North-east and
East by said road-line, 6200 links; thence towards the South
by a road-line, 10500 links; again towards the North-east by
said road-line, 2450 links; again towards the East by said
road-line, 2433 links; and again towards the North-east by
the main road between Greytown and Outram, 3600 links;
thence again towards the North by a road-line, 5180 links, to
the west corner of Section No. 1, Irregular Block, Taieri Dis-
