Waipawa, Provincial District of Hawke's Bay, and termi-
nating in Section No. 173 aforesaid; including all adjoining and
intervening places, lands, roads, reserves, streams, rivers, and
watercourses; in the manner delineated on the plan marked
P.W.D. 10,000, signed by the Hon. Walter Woods Johnston,
Minister for Public Works, and deposited in the office of the
Registrar of the Supreme Courts at Wellington and Napier,
in the Provincial Districts of Wellington and Hawke's Bay;
the total length being 55 chains or thereabouts.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William
Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in
Her Majesty's Army, Knight Grand Cross of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable
Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-
Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral
of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said
Colony, at the Government House, at Auckland,
this first day of May, in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and eighty-three.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this second day of
April, 1883.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by
"The Public Works Act, 1882," and of all other powers in
anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency Sir
William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of
the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order
that the Government work known as the Great North Road
shall and may be constructed on or through the several parcels
of land more particularly described in the Schedule hereto, and
delineated in the plan marked P.W.D. 9921, deposited in the
office of the Minister for Public Works at Wellington, in the
Provincial District of Wellington, in the said colony.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land situate in the Survey Districts of Kawa-
kawa and Hukerenui, Provincial District of Auckland, being a
road-line, 1 chain wide, running in a southerly direction for
a distance of 318 chains or thereabouts from a point on the
Ruapekapeka Road distant 320 links or thereabouts from the
south-eastern angle of the Kawakawa Coal Company's ground
to the north-western boundary of the Hukerenui Block, except-
ing that portion of the aforesaid road which traverses the Edu-
cation Reserve, near the Native village of Waiomio; as the same
is delineated upon the plan marked P.W.D. 9921, deposited in
the office of the Minister for Public Works at Wellington, in
the Provincial District of Wellington.

office of the Minister for Public Works at Wellington, in the
Provincial District of Wellington, in the said colony.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that road-line commencing at a point in the north-eastern
boundary of the Waitangi Block, and continuing generally in a
north-westerly direction for 5844 links to the south-western
boundary of the Makarau Block, and containing by admeasure-
ment 5 acres 3 roods 15 perches, more or less.

And again, all that road-line commencing at a point in the
western boundary of the Makarau Block, and continuing gene-
rally in a north-westerly direction for 2427 links to the south-
eastern boundary of the Tuhirangi Block, and containing by
admeasurement 2 acres 1 rood 28 perches, more or less.

And again, all that road-line commencing at a point in the
northern boundary of the Tuhirangi Block, and continuing
generally in a northerly direction for 15743 links to the south-
east corner of Lot No. 110, Parish of Komokoriki, and containing
by admeasurement 15 acres 2 roods 38 perches, more or less;
the above parcels of land being situate in the Provincial Dis-
trict of Auckland; as the same is delineated on the plan marked
P.W.D. 9925, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public
Works at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington.

Extension of Time for Preparation of Valuation Roll,
Wanganui and Waitotara Road District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this second day
of May, 1883.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE THE COLONIAL TREASURER PRESIDING IN
COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the Wanganui and Waitotara Road Board duly
appointed a Valuer under section eleven of "The Rating
Act, 1882," for the purpose of preparing a valuation roll for
the Wanganui and Waitotara Road District: And whereas the
said Valuer neglected to make a valuation roll in the manner
required by the said section eleven of "The Rating Act, 1882,"
and it is expedient to extend the time for making a valuation
roll for the said district:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers vested in him by the
said Act, and acting with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby extend the
times for making the valuation roll of the said road district,
and for lodging, hearing, and determining of any objections to
such roll, as mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

  1. NOTICE to be given to each owner or occupier of the rateable
    value of their property as determined by the Valuer: On or
    before the 1st June, 1883.

  2. Owner or occupier may object to rateable value of
    property: On or before the 14th June, 1883.

  3. The Resident Magistrate to hear and determine objections
    to roll: On and after the 18th June, 1883.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested
in me by the sixth section of "The Cemeteries Act, 1882,"
I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

ROBERT DICK MACLACHLAN

to be Trustee, in the place of H. B. Morrison, resigned, to
provide for the maintenance and care of the Dipton Public
Cemetery, in conjunction with the other persons appointed by
warrant under the hand of His Excellency the Administrator of
the Government on the fifteenth day of October, one thousand
eight hundred and eighty-one.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this
thirtieth day of April, one thousand eight hundred
and eighty-three.
