in the United States of America, to register, under "The Trade
Marks Act, 1866," the trade mark of which the following is a

County of Bruce, are published in accordance with "The
Counties Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1882."

SPECIAL ORDERS.
(1.) THAT the boundaries of the Matau and Kaitangata Ridings
be altered so that the part of Kaitangata Town District lying
in Matau Riding be taken from that riding and joined to Kai-
tangata Riding.
(2.) That the boundaries of the Clarendon Riding be altered
so as only to include the Waipori Road District, and the
Waihola Riding so as to include the whole of the Waihola
Road District.
I hereby certify that the special orders of the Bruce County,
altering the boundaries of the Matau, Kaitangata, Clarendon,
and Waihola Ridings have been duly made according to "The
Counties Act, 1876," and its amendments.

COPY of special order made by the Kaikorai Road Board, Otago,
declaring the manner in which the election of members of the
Board shall be conducted :-
"That all elections of members of the Kaikorai Road Board
shall be conducted as provided by the 49th section of 'The
Road Boards Act, 1882.'"
I hereby certify that the above special order was duly passed
by the Kaikorai Road Board, at a meeting held in the Board's
office, Green Island, on the 11th day of April, 1883.

"Roads and Bridges Construction Act, 1882."

THE following resolution, passed by the Rangitikei County
Council, under "The Roads and Bridges Construction Act,
1882," is published for general information.

SPECIAL ORDER.
SPECIAL order made by the Rangitikei County Council, defining
portion of the district under section 40 of "The Roads and
Bridges Construction Act, 1882."
The following special order was passed at a meeting of the
Rangitikei County Council, held at the Council Chambers, High
Street, Marton, on Thursday, the 12th April, 1883 :-
"That it appears to the Council that the work proposed to be
undertaken on parts of the Hunterville Line, the Mangatepoui
Line, and the Maungahoe Line, at an estimated cost of Β£16,680,
and for which the Minister has made a grant-in-aid of Β£6,255,
under the provisions of "The Roads and Bridges Construction
Act, 1882," is for the special benefit of a particular portion of
the district over which this Council has jurisdiction, the Coun-
cil, by this special resolution, and pursuant to section 40 of
said Act, defines such portion of the district to be the parts of
the County of Rangitikei lying within the following boundaries:
Commencing at the south-west corner of Section 127, Parae-
karetu Block, and running along the west and part of the north
boundary of said section to the south-west corner of Section 27;
thence along the western boundary of Sections 27 and 24 to the
Mount Curl Road-line; thence by said road-line to the
south-east corner of Section 58; thence along the eastern and
northern boundary of said section, and the northern and south-
western boundary of Section 128 to the south-east corner of
Section 264; thence along the south and west boundaries of
said section to the south-east corner of Section 247; thence in
a westerly direction by south boundaries of Sections 247 and
248 to the Turakina River; thence in a southerly direction
along the left bank of the said river to the north-east corner of
the Wharipi Block; thence by the north boundary of said
block and the Takapunui Stream to the Wangaehu River;
thence in a northerly direction along the left bank of said river
to the north-east corner of the Otiti Block; thence in an
easterly direction along the northern boundaries of the Maunga-
tepoui East and West Blocks to the Turakina River; thence
in a north-easterly direction along the left bank of the said
river to the south boundary of Section 79; thence in a north-
easterly direction along the Lochaber line of road to the south-
west corner of Section 93; thence by the west and north
boundaries of said section and west boundary of Section 95 to
the left banks of the Turakina River and Mangapapa Stream
to the north-east corner of Section 2B; thence by the eastern
