THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

Port Levy Road District.

All that area in the Provincial District of Canterbury,
bounded towards the North by Port Lyttelton Harbour and
the ocean; thence towards towards the East by a right line
from a point half-way between the east head of Port Levy
and the west head of Pigoon Bay, over Mount Sinclair, to the
south side of the Purau and Akaroa Road; thence towards the
south and south-west by the south sides of the Purau and
Akaroa Road and the Mount Herbert Peak Road; and thence
towards the West by the Port Victoria Road District, herein-
before described, to the place of commencement.

Pigeon Bay Road District.

All that area in the Provincial District of Canterbury,
bounded towards the North-east generally by the ocean; thence
towards the South-east by the summit of the spur between
Decanter Bay and Little Akaroa Bay to a point where it meets
the summit of the highest range between Pigeon Bay and
Akaroa Harbour; thence towards the South and South-west
by that summit and by the Parau and Akaroa Road; and
thence towards the North-west by the Port Levy Road Dis-
trict, hereinbefore described, to the place of commencement.

Okain's Bay Road District.

All that area in the Provincial District of Canterbury,
bounded towards the North-west and North-east by the ocean;
thence towards the South by the summit of the leading spur
from the Putakoto Head to Libeau's Peak; thence towards
the South-west and West by the summit of the leading range
between Akaroa Harbour and the East Coast to the Pigeon
Bay Road District, hereinbefore described; and thence towards
the North-west by the Pigeon Bay Road District aforesaid to
the place of commencement.

Town of Akaroa and Wainui Road District.

All that area in the Provincial District of Canterbury,
bounded towards the North by the Port Levy, the Pigeon Bay,
and the Okain's Bay Road Districts, hereinbefore described;
thence towards the South-east by the ocean; thence towards
the South-west and again towards the South-east by Akaroa
Harbour; thence towards the South by the ocean; and thence
towards the West by the Little River Road District, herein-
before described, to the Port Levy Road District aforesaid, the
place of commencement: excepting from the above-described
area the Borough of Akaroa.

ASHBURTON COUNTY.

Mount Hutt Road District.

All that area in the Provincial District of Canterbury,
bounded towards the North-east by a line along the middle
of the Rakaia River, from Cascade Glen Creek to a point in
line with the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 7305,
Corwar Survey District; thence towards the South-east by a
line along the middle of the road forming the north-western
boundaries of Sections Nos. 26917, 26918, 7301, 15544, 7310,
and 15597, aforesaid survey district; thence again towards the
North-east by a line along the middle of the road forming
the south-western boundary of Section No. 25899; thence
again towards the South-east by a line along the middle of
the road forming the north-western boundary of Section
No. 26456, aforesaid survey district; thence towards the
South by a line along the middle of the road forming the
southern boundary of Section No. 27304 and that road
continued to the north-eastern boundary-line of Section
No. 34170, Spaxton Survey District; thence towards the
South-west by that section and Sections Nos. 30966 and 34169,
Spaxton Survey District aforesaid; thence again towards the
South-east by a line along the middle of the road forming
the north-western boundary of the last-mentioned section;
thence again towards the South-west by a line along the middle
of the road forming the north-eastern boundary of Section
No. 28886 and that road continued to the southern boun-
dary-line of Section No. 23514, Spaxton Survey District
aforesaid; thence by Section No. 23724 and the north-eastern
boundary-line of that section produced to the north-eastern
boundary-line of Section No. 31885; thence by that section
and Section No. 33767 to its north-east corner; thence again
towards the South-east by a line along the middle of the
road forming the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 17232,
Spaxton Survey District aforesaid, and that road continued
to Section No. 25353; thence by the north-eastern, south-
eastern, and south-western boundaries of that section to a road
forming the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 31925,
Spaxton Survey District aforesaid, and by a line along the
middle of that road continued to the north branch of the
River Ashburton; thence again towards the South-west by a
line along the middle of that branch; thence towards the West
by Run No. 460, Class 3; thence towards the North-west by
the western branch of the Cascade Glen Creek aforesaid, and
by that creek to the Rakaia River aforesaid, the place of com-
mencement.

South Rakaia Road District.

All that area in the Provincial District of Canterbury,
bounded towards the North-east by a line along the middle of
the Rakaia River, from a point in line with the south-eastern
boundary-line of Section No. 7305, Corwar Survey District, to
the ocean; thence towards the South-east by the ocean;
thence towards the South-west by a line along the middle of the
road forming the north-eastern boundaries of Sections Nos.
27247, 27248, and 26910, South Rakaia Survey District, Section
No. 26909, Rakaia Survey District, Sections Nos. 26495, 26494,
26635, 25840, 25770, 25646, 26534, 24981, and Reserve No.
1771, Ashburton Survey District; thence by a right line being
the continuation of the north-eastern boundary-line of that
reserve, across a railway reserve, to the Great South Road;
thence again towards the South-east by that road; thence again
toward the South-west by a line along the middle of the
road forming the south-western boundary of Reserve No. 2376
and that road continued to the westernmost corner of Section
No. 24262, Ashburton Survey District aforesaid; thence again
towards the South-east by a right line to the southernmost
corner of Section No. 27032, Ashburton Survey District afore-
said; thence again towards the South-west by a line along the
middle of the road forming the north-eastern boundary of
Section No. 27031 and that road continued to the northern-
most corner of Section No. 27394, Ashburton Survey District
aforesaid; thence towards the North-west by a line along the
middle of the road forming the south-eastern boundary of
Section No. 27392; and thence again towards the South-west
by Sections Nos. 27392 aforesaid, 27969, 27970, 27985,
23020, 31252, 30505, 30504, and 30509, Ashburton Survey
District aforesaid, to the Mount Hutt Road District, hereinbe-
fore described; and thence towards the North and again towards
the North-west by that road district to the place of commence-
ment.

Wakanui Road District.

All that area in the Provincial District of Canterbury,
bounded towards the North-east by the South Rakaia Road Dis-
trict, hereinbefore described; thence towards the South-east by
the ocean; thence towards the South-west by a line along the
middle of the Ashburton River; and thence towards the North-
west by the Borough of Ashburton and the Great Southern
Railway to the South Rakaia Road District aforesaid, the place
of commencement.

Subdivision No. 1 (Suburbs).

Bounded towards the North-west and South-west by the
north-western and south-western boundaries of the Wakanui
Road District, hereinbefore described; thence towards the
North-east by Reserve No. 1496 and by a line bearing 144° 9′
for a distance of 2023 links drawn from the southernmost
corner of said reserve; thence north-easterly 54° 9′, 1100 links;
thence south-easterly 144° 9', 423 links, to the northernmost
corner of Section No. 24369, Ashburton Survey District; thence
south-westerly along the north-western boundaries of Sections
Nos. 24369 and 18126, and the prolongation of the north-
western boundary-line of the latter section to the south-west
side of the road north-east of Reserve No. 1120; thence north-
westerly and south-westerly by that reserve and a line in
continuation of its north-western boundary to the middle of a
road north-east of Section No. 13757, Ashburton Survey Dis-
trict aforesaid; thence south-easterly along the middle of that
road to its junction with Wakanui Road; thence north-
westerly along the middle of Wakanui Road to its junction with
Trevor's Road; thence south-westerly along the middle of that
road and a line in continuation thereof to the middle of the
Ashburton River; and thence by a line along the middle of
that river to the north-western boundary of the Wakanui
Road District aforesaid, the place of commencement.

Subdivision No. 2 (Wakanui Flat).

Bounded towards the North-west by Subdivision No. 1
(Suburbs), hereinbefore described; thence towards the North-
east by a line along the middle of the Seafield and Butterick's
Roads to the Wakanui Township Road; thence by a line
along the middle of the latter road and of Leadley's Road to
the ocean; thence towards the South-east by the ocean; and
thence towards the South-west by the south-western boundary
of the Wakanui Road District, hereinbefore described, to the
place of commencement.

Subdivision No. 3 (Plains).

Comprises all that portion of the Wakanui Road District,
hereinbefore described, not included in the Subdivision No. 1
(Suburbs) and Subdivision No. 2 (Wakanui Flat), also herein-
before described.

Longbeach Road District.

All that area in the Provincial District of Canterbury, bounded
towards the North-east by a line along the middle of the
Ashburton River and by the Wakanui Road District, herein-
before described; thence towards the South-east by the ocean;
thence towards the South-west by a line along the middle of the
Rangitata River; thence towards the North-west by the Great
