East Malvern Road District.

All that area in the Provincial District of Canterbury, bounded towards the North-east by a line along the middle of the Waimakariri River; thence towards the South-east by the Courtenay Road District, hereinbefore described; thence towards the South-west by a right line from the intersection of the northern side of the Auchenflower Road by the north-western boundary-line of Courtenay Road District aforesaid to the south side of a road intersecting the south-western boundary-line of Section No. 3719, Kowai Survey District; thence by a right line to the north-eastern corner of Section No. 13715, aforesaid survey district; thence by another right line to the north-western corner of Section No. 8979, Kowai Survey District aforesaid; thence towards the North-west by the Dalethorpe and Kowai Road to the north-western corner of Section No. 5177, Kowai Survey District aforesaid; thence by the northern boundary of that section to its north-eastern corner; thence again towards the South-west by a right line to the southernmost corner of Section No. 5321, aforesaid survey district; thence by the south-western, western, and north-western boundary-lines of that section and the south-western boundary-line of Section No. 4803 to its westernmost corner; thence again towards the North-west by a right line to the westernmost corner of Section No. 4739, Kowai Survey District aforesaid, and by the north-western boundary line of that section and its production to the middle of the Waimakariri River aforesaid, the place of commencement.

South Malvern Road District.

All that area in the Provincial District of Canterbury, bounded towards the North-east by a right line from the south-western corner of Section No. 3719, Kowai Survey District, to the intersection of the northern side of the Auchenflower Road by the north-western boundary-line of the Courtenay Road District, hereinbefore described; thence towards the South-east by the Courtenay Road District aforesaid; thence towards the South-west by a line along the middle of the Wakaepu River to the north-western boundary-line of Section No. 3107, Hororata Survey District; thence towards the North-west by that boundary-line to the northernmost corner of said Section No. 3107; thence by a right line to the north-east corner of Section No. 10759, Kowai Survey District; and thence by another right line to the south-western corner of Section No. 3719 aforesaid, the place of commencement.

Malvern Road District.

All that area in the Provincial District of Canterbury, bounded towards the North-east generally by a line along the middle of the Waimakariri River and by the East Malvern Road District, hereinbefore described, from Staircase Gully to the northern side of the Auchenflower Road; thence towards the South-west and South-east by the South Malvern Road District, hereinbefore described, and the River Wakaepu to the confluence of that river with a creek running from the Thirteen-Mile Bush; thence again towards the South-west by a right line to the southernmost end of Lake Lyndon; thence towards the North-west by a right line to the source of the stream forming the southern boundary of Section No. 9824, and by that stream to the stream which intersects the West Coast Road; thence by the latter stream and its easternmost branch to its source; thence by a right line to Mount Torlesse; thence by a right line to the source of the northern branch of Staircase Gully; and thence by that branch and Staircase Gully aforesaid to the middle of the Waimakariri River aforesaid, the place of commencement.

Upper Waimakariri Road District.

All that area in the Provincial District of Canterbury, bounded towards the North-west by the County of Westland; thence towards the North-east, South-east, and South-west by Ashley County to the Waimakariri River; thence again towards the South-east by a line along the middle of that river to the Malvern Road District, hereinbefore described; thence by the said Malvern Road District to the southernmost end of Lake Lyndon; thence towards the South by a right line to Red Hill; thence towards the West and North-west by the summit of the High Snowy Range; thence across the Cass River; and again towards the South by the summit of the Black Range to the head-waters of the Waimakariri River aforesaid; and thence by a right line due west to the County of Westland, the place of commencement.

Ellesmere Road District.

All that area in the Provincial District of Canterbury, bounded towards the North-east by the Springs Road District, hereinbefore described; thence towards the East by Lake Ellesmere; thence towards the South-east by the ocean; thence towards the South-west by a line along the middle of the Rakaia River to its intersection by the south side of the Great South Road, produced; and thence towards the North-west to and by the said Great South Road to its junction with the reserve for the Great Southern Railway; thence by that reserve to the River Selwyn; and thence across that river to the westernmost angle of the Springs Road District aforesaid, the place of commencement.

Rakaia Road District.

All that area in the Provincial District of Canterbury, bounded towards the North and North-east by the Malvern, the South Malvern, and the Courtenay Road Districts, hereinbefore described; thence towards the South-east by the Ellesmere Road District, hereinbefore described; thence towards the South-west by a line along the middle of the Rakaia River to its intersection by the production of the south side of a road forming the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 33912, Hall Survey District; thence towards the North-west to and by that road and by the road forming the south-eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 33055, 26996, 26997, 26998, 26999, 27001, 33054, 26989, and its continuation to Section No. 33882; thence by said road along the south-eastern boundary of last-mentioned section and of Section No. 29091, Hall Survey District aforesaid, and its continuation across Reserves Nos. 1765 and 1764; thence by a road forming the north-western boundaries of Sections Nos. 33942 and 33941, Hororata Survey District; and thence by the north-western boundary-lines of Sections Nos. 26575, 14327, 26418, and 23940, and by the said north-western boundary-line of the last-mentioned section produced to the left bank of the Hororata River; thence again towards the South-west by that river to its principal source; thence again towards the North-west by a right line to the source of the stream forming the eastern boundary of Section No. 24908, Hororata Survey District aforesaid; thence by that stream to the Wakaepu River, and by that river to its confluence with a stream running from the Thirteen-Mile Bush, at the Malvern Road District aforesaid, the place of commencement.

Lake Coleridge Road District.

All that area in the Provincial District of Canterbury, bounded towards the North-east, East, and South-east generally by the Upper Waimakariri, the Malvern, and the Rakaia Road Districts, hereinbefore described; thence towards the South-west by a line along the middle of the Rakaia River to its source near Whitcombe’s Pass; thence by a right line due west to the Southern Alps; and thence towards the North-west by the County of Westland to the Upper Waimakariri Road District aforesaid, the place of commencement.

AKAROA COUNTY.

Little River Road District.

All that area in the Provincial District of Canterbury, bounded towards the North by the Halswell Road District, hereinbefore described, from the River Halswell, at the middle of the Road and Drain Reserve, to the north-eastern corner of Rural Section No. 1060 (being part of the boundary between the Counties of Selwyn and Akaroa); thence towards the North-east by the summit of the Port Hills and by a right line thence through Trig. Station L1 to Mount Herbert; thence again towards the North by a right line to Mount Herbert Peak, and by that line continued to the Mount Herbert Peak Road; thence again towards the North-east and North by the south sides of the said Mount Herbert Peak Road and the Purau and Akaroa Road to the junction of the latter road with the Port Levy and Little River Road; thence again towards the North-east and towards the East and South-east by the north side of the said Port Levy and Little River Road to its junction with the Terawera Valley Road; thence by the south side of the said Terawera Valley Road to the Little River Railway Reserve; thence to and by the south side of the Barry Pass Road to Barry Pass; thence by the summit of the main range over the said Barry Pass, Wooded Peak, French Hill, Wainui Peak, Kitson’s Pole, Saddle Hill, and Carew’s Peak to Mount Bossu; thence by the summit of the spur running down to the eastern head of Island Bay; thence towards the South-west and South by the ocean to the mouth of Lake Ellesmere; thence towards the North and again towards the South-west by the southern and north-eastern shores of the said Lake Ellesmere to the mouth of the River Halswell; and thence again towards the South-west and North by the left bank of the River Halswell aforesaid to the middle of the Road and Drain Reserve aforesaid, the place of commencement.

Port Victoria Road District.

All that area in the Provincial District of Canterbury, bounded towards the East by the Borough of Lyttelton and a right line from the south-west corner thereof across the harbour to Church Gully, in Church Bay; thence by the said Church Gully to the Mount Herbert Peak Road; thence by the west side of the Mount Herbert Peak Road aforesaid to the Little River Road District, hereinbefore described; thence towards the South and South-west by that road district; and thence towards the West and North-west by the summit of the Port Hills to a point due north of the western boundary of the Borough of Lyttelton; and thence to the place of commencement.
