Cloudy Bay Subdivision.

Bounded towards the South-west by the Wairau River, from
its mouth to the Tuamarina River; thence towards the West
by the said Tuamarina River to Massacre Hill; thence towards
the North-west by the spur leading to the watershed; thence
by the summit of the watershed between the Waitohi Valley
and Cloudy Bay to a line bearing S. 45° E. to the southernmost
point of White's Bay; thence towards the North-east by that
line to the last-named point at White's Bay aforesaid; thence
towards the East and North-east by Cloudy Bay to the mouth
of the Wairau River, the place of commencement.

Tuamarina Subdivision.

Bounded towards the South by the Wairau River, from the
mouth of the Tuamarina River to the mouth of the Waikakaho
Stream; thence towards the South-west by the said Waikakaho
Stream to its source; thence towards the North-west by the
summit of the dividing range between the Kaituna, Mahaki-
pawa, and Waitohi Valleys to a line bearing N. 60° W. to the
deep-water landing-place at the Grove; thence towards the
South-west by that line to the waters of Queen Charlotte Sound;
thence towards the North generally by the waters of that sound
to Karaka Point; thence towards the East and South-east by
the eastern boundary-lines of the Waikawa Native Reserve to
the summit of the watershed between Queen Charlotte Sound
and Port Underwood and Cloudy Bay, and by that summit to a
line bearing S. 45° E. to the southernmost point of White's
Bay; thence again towards the South-east and East by the
Cloudy Bay Subdivision, hereinbefore described, to the mouth of
the Tuamarina River, the place of commencement: excepting
from the above-described area the Borough of Picton.

Pelorus Road District.

All that area in the Provincial District of Marlborough,
bounded towards the North-east, South-east, and again towards
the North-east by the Picton Road District, hereinbefore de-
scribed, from the mouth of the Waikakaho Stream to the deep-
water landing-place at the Grove; thence towards the North-
west, North-east, and South by the waters of Queen Charlotte
Sound to the boundary of a block of land granted to
Joseph Toms, 1870 links from a stream called Te Awa; thence
towards the East by a right line to the north-western corner
of Section No. 21, Linkwater Survey District, Pelorus Sound;
thence by the waters of Pelorus Sound to Waitanihi or Black
Point; thence again towards the North-east by the summit of
the leading spur from Waitanihi or Black Point aforesaid to
Mount Elliott; thence towards the North-west generally by the
boundary-line between the Provincial Districts of Marlborough
and Nelson to the summit of the range between the Pelorus
and Wairau Valleys; thence towards the South-east and South-
west by the Wairau Road District, hereinbefore described, to
the Wairau River; thence again towards the South-east by the
said Wairau River to the Picton Road District aforesaid, the
place of commencement: excepting from the above-described
area the Town of Havelock, as described in "The Picton and
Havelock Improvement Act, 1872."

North Bank of Wairau Subdivision.

Bounded towards the South-east by the Wairau River, from
the Waikakaho Stream to the Wairau Road District, herein-
before described; thence towards the South-west by the Wai-
rau Road District aforesaid to a point in line with the northern
boundary-line of Section No. 55, Onamalutu Survey Dis-
trict; thence towards the North-west by a right line to and
by that boundary-line and its production to the Waikakaho
Stream aforesaid; and thence towards the North-east by that
stream to the Wairau River, the place of commencement.

Kaituna Subdivision.

Bounded towards the South-east by the North Bank of Wai-
rau Subdivision, hereinbefore described; thence towards the
East and South-east by the Picton Road District, hereinbefore
described, to the leading spur to Cullen's Point, between the
Kaituna and Mahakipawa Valleys; thence towards the North
and North-east by the summit of that spur to Cullen's Point
aforesaid; thence towards the West and North by the waters of
Pelorus Sound to the Town of Havelock, as described in "The
Picton and Havelock Improvement Act, 1872;" thence by that
town to the watershed between the Pelorus and Kaituna Valleys;
thence towards the North-west and West by the summit of the
dividing range between the Kaituna and the Pelorus Valleys to
the Wairau Road District hereinbefore described; and thence
towards the South-west by the Wairau Road District aforesaid
to the North Bank of Wairau Subdivision aforesaid, the place
of commencement.

Pelorus Valley Subdivision.

Bounded towards the East by the Kaituna Subdivision, herein-
before described; thence towards the South-east by the Wairau
Road District, hereinbefore described, to the boundary-line
between the Provincial Districts of Marlborough and Nelson;
thence towards the West and North-west by that boundary-line
to Mount Elliott; thence towards the North-east by the leading
spur from Mount Elliott to Waitanihi or Black Point; and thence
towards the South-east and North-east generally by the waters
of Pelorus Sound and the Town of Havelock, as described
in "The Picton and Havelock Improvement Act, 1872," to the
Kaituna Subdivision, the place of commencement.

Mahakipawa Subdivision.

Bounded towards the South-west by the Kaituna Subdivision
hereinbefore described; thence towards the South-east and
North-east by the Picton Road District, hereinbefore described,
to the deep-water landing-place at the Grove; thence towards
the North-west, South-east, and South by the waters of Queen
Charlotte Sound to the boundary of a block of land granted
to Joseph Toms, 1870 links from a stream called Te Awa;
thence towards the East by a right line to the north-western
corner of Section No. 21, Linkwater Survey District; thence
towards the North and South generally by the waters of
Pelorus Sound to the Kaituna Subdivision aforesaid, the place
of commencement at Cullen's Point.

KAIKOURA COUNTY.

Kaikoura Road District.

All that area in the Provincial District of Marlborough,
bounded towards the North-east, North, and North-west by the
Clarence River, from its mouth to a point due west from Mount
Ross; thence towards the South by a right line to that
mount; thence towards the West, South-west, and South
respectively by a right line to the source of the Conway River,
and by that river to its mouth; and thence towards the
South-east generally by the ocean to the mouth of the Clarence
River aforesaid, the place of commencement.

Town of Kaikoura Subdivision.

Bounded towards the South-east, North, and North-east by
the ocean and the Lyell Creek, from a point in line with the
north-western boundary-line of Section No. 225, Mount Fyffe
Survey District, to a point on Lyell Creek aforesaid in line
with the southern boundary-line of Section No. 263, said
survey district; thence towards the North by a right line to
Section No. 206, said survey district; thence towards the
West, South-west, and South-east respectively by Sections
Nos. 206, 207, 208, 209, and 210, a road, Sections Nos. 264
and 268, another road, Sections Nos. 269, 270, 2 of 271, 1 of
271, 272, and 273, another road, Section No. 274, another
road, and Section No. 225 aforesaid, all of the survey district
aforesaid, and the north-western boundary-line of the last-
mentioned section produced to the ocean, the place of com-
mencement.

Kaikoura Suburban Subdivision.

Bounded towards the North-east, South-east, and again
towards the North-east respectively by the ocean, the Town
of Kaikoura Subdivision, hereinbefore described, and the
Hapuka River, from the easternmost promontory of the Kai-
koura Peninsula to a point in line with the north-western
boundary-line of Section No. 226, Mount Fyffe Survey District;
thence towards the North-west by a road fronting said Sec-
tion No. 226, Sections Nos. 1 of 190, 3 of 189, 2 of 189,
2 of 188, 187, 186, 185, 184, and 182 to the westernmost
corner of the last-mentioned section; thence towards the
South-west by a road fronting Section No. 182 aforesaid and
Section No. 181; thence again towards the North-east by a
road fronting Section No. 179 to the easternmost corner of
Section No. 292; thence by the south-western and north-
western boundary-lines of Section No. 38 to Section No. 47;
thence by the western boundary-line of that section and that
line produced to a road being the continuation of the road
between Section No. 2 of 29 and Section No. 30, Mount Fyffe
Survey District aforesaid; thence again towards the North-
west by that road to the Waimanarara River; thence across
the said Waimanarara River; and again towards the North-
east by that river to the north-eastern corner of Native
Reserve B; thence again towards the North-west by a right
line to the north-western corner of Native Reserve C; thence
across a road; thence by the north-western boundary-lines of
Sections Nos. 306 and 312, across a road, and by the north-
western boundary-lines of Sections Nos. 313 and 327, across
another road, and by the north-western boundary-lines of
Section No. 328, aforesaid survey district, to its westernmost
corner; thence by a right line to the northernmost corner of
Section No. 331; thence due west across a road fronting that
section; thence towards the South-west by the western side of
that road to the south-eastern corner of Section No. 61, Green-
burn Survey District; thence again towards the North-west
by that section and by Sections Nos. 60, 56, 55, and 54, said
Greenburn Survey District, and the south-eastern boundary-line
of the last-mentioned section produced to the Kohai River;
thence again towards the South-west by the left bank of that
river to the south-eastern corner of Section No. 57, Mount Fyffe
Survey District aforesaid; and by a right line thence to the
