THE following special order, made by the Taotaoroa Road
Board, is published in accordance with "The Road Boards
Act, 1882."

EXTRACT from the minutes of a meeting of the Taotaoroa
Road Board, held on the 31st March, 1883:-
"Pursuant to public notice given, it was resolved, That a
special order be now made whereby it is declared that, not-
withstanding provision contained in 'The Regulation of Local
Elections Act, 1876,' all elections of members of the Taotaoroa
Road Board shall be conducted in the manner provided by
section 49 of 'The Road Boards Act, 1882.'"
I certify that the above special order was made in every
respect as by law required.

Road Board, held on Friday, the 30th March, 1883:-
"Pursuant to public notice given, it was resolved, That a
special order be now made whereby it is declared that, not-
withstanding the provisions contained in 'The Regulation of
Local Elections Act, 1876,' all elections of members of the
Cambridge Road Board shall be conducted in the manner pro-
vided by section 49 of 'The Road Boards Act, 1882.'"
I certify that the foregoing special order was made in every
respect as by law required.

SPECIAL ORDERS.
THE following special orders were passed at a meeting of the
Okato Road Board, held at the Schoolhouse, Okato, on the 28th
March, 1883 :-
"That the Okato Road Board shall consist of four members."
"That the annual meeting of ratepayers shall be held at the
Okato Schoolhouse, at 3 o'clock p.m, on the first Wednesday
in May in each year."
"That the general election of the members of the Board shall
take place on the first Wednesday in May, at 4 o'clock p.m.,
at the Schoolhouse, Okato."
"That, notwithstanding the provisions of the Regulation of
Local Elections Act, the election of members of the Board
shall be conducted in accordance with section 49 of 'The Road
Boards Act, 1882.'"
I certify that the above special orders were passed by the
Okato Road Board.

SPECIAL ORDER.
(Passed by the Ngaire Road Board, 15th March, 1883.).
"Resolved, That this Board do now divide its district into five
subdivisions, to be known as the northern, eastern, western,
middle, and southern subdivisions, returning collectively nine
members, as follows: -
"The Northern Subdivision commences at the intersection of
the Patea River with the western boundary of the Stratford
Township, as gazetted; following the river up to its intersection
with the Forest Reserve; following the Forest Reserve round
to its intersection with the Waingongoro River; following the
said river down to its intersection with the Opunake Road;
thence along the southern boundary of Block I., Ngaire, to the
Mountain Road; thence to the southern boundary of Stratford
Township, as gazetted; thence by the southern and western
boundaries of the said township to the Patea River. To return
two members.
"The Eastern Subdivision commences at the intersection of the
Patea River with the eastern boundary of Stratford Township,
as gazetted; following the said river down to its intersection
with the confiscation-boundary; thence by the confiscation-
boundary to the south-eastern corner of Section No. 5, Block
VII., Ngaire; thence by the south boundaries of Sections Nos.
5 and 4 and a line in prolongation of the same to the Skinner
Road; thence south by the Skinner Road to the north-eastern
corner of Section No. 20, Block VI., Ngaire; thence by the
northern boundary of Section No. 20 to the eastern boundary of
Section No. 19; thence by the eastern boundary of Section
No. 19 to the dividing line between Sections Nos. 19 and 11;
