Mining Notices.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT A WATER
RACE.

Waimea, 18th January, 1883.
To the Mining Registrar at Stafford, in the Mining District of
Waimea, and all other persons whom it may concern.

WE hereby give notice that we intend to construct a Water-
race to divert and use water for mining purposes, com-
mencing at a point in Fox's Creek about one mile below the
Township of Fox's Creek, near the junction of Greeks No. 2 and Fox's
Creeks, and terminating at special claim, on Kelly's Terrace,
Piper's Flat, near Stafford.

The length of such race is four miles or thereabouts, and
its intended course is north and south.
The mean depth of such race is 3 feet, and the mean breadth
is 4 feet; and it is proposed to divert twenty Government-heads
of water.

I, the undersigned, hereby make application to register the
Ida Valley Deep Lead Gold-Mining Company as a Limited
Company under the provisions of "The Mining Companies Act,
1872."

  1. The name of the Company is to be the Ida Valley Deep
    Lead Gold-Mining Company (Limited).
  2. The place of operations is at Black's No. 3, in Ida Valley,
    Vincent County.
  3. The registered office of the Company will be situated at
    Ophir, in Vincent County.
  4. The nominal capital of the Company is twelve hundred
    pounds, in twelve hundred shares of one pound each.
  5. The number of shares subscribed for is eight hundred,
    being not less than two-thirds of the entire number of shares
    in the Company.
  6. The number of paid-up shares is nil.
  7. The amount already paid up is one hundred and eighty-
    two pounds and fifteen shillings.
  8. The name of the Manager is John Galbraith Hyde.
