Gold Fields Notices.

Gold-Mining Lease to be granted.

IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of “The Mines
Act, 1877,” and with the regulations made under that Act
for the granting of leases for gold-mining purposes, it is hereby
notified that it is intended to grant a lease of Crown lands for
gold-mining purposes to the applicant specified in the annexed
Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against such
lease.

Objections to the granting of such lease, stating the grounds
of objection, must be made in writing, and lodged with the
Warden at Ross on or before the 31st day of March, 1883.
Copy of the application made and plan annexed may be seen
at the Warden’s Office at Ross.

SCHEDULE.

APPLICANT: Patrick Healey. Style under which it is intended
to conduct the business: “Totara Quartz-Mining Company.”
Area: 16 acres 2 roods 4 perches, at left-hand branch of Donnelly’s
Creek, in the Totara Mining District.

Given under my hand, at Hokitika, this fifteenth day
of February, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-three.

NOTICE is hereby given that the several parcels of land
hereinafter described will be brought under the provisions
of “The Land Transfer Act, 1870,” unless caveat be lodged
forbidding the same in each case on or before the 2nd day of
April next.

ELIZA EGAN.—Lots 204 and 205, Village of Howick,
containing 2 acres. In Applicant’s occupation. 1986.

GEORGE CUMMINGS.—Lot 277, Town of Greerton, con-
taining 1 acre. In Applicant’s occupation. 2049.

Also Lot 227 of Section 2, Town of Tauranga, containing
1 rood. In Applicant’s occupation. 2050.

APPLICATION having been made to me by MICHAEL
STUDHOLME and JOHN STUDHOLME to register a
certain dealing affecting certificates of title, Vol. xiii., folio 118,
Vol. xxx., folio 155, and licenses to occupy Rural Sections Nos.
16704 and 22279, situated in the Waitangi District, whereof
they are the registered Proprietors, and a statutory declaration
of the loss of the said certificates and licenses to occupy having
been lodged with me, and the said Michael Studholme and
John Studholme having applied for the issue of provisional
certificates, I hereby give notice that I shall register such deal-
ing and issue the provisional certificates as requested, at the
expiration of fourteen days after the date of the Gazette con-
taining this notice, unless in the meantime a caveat be lodged
forbidding the same.

Dated this 24th day of February, 1883, at the Lands Registry
Office, Christchurch.
