WAIMATE COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE is hereby given that, under the powers conferred on
the Waimate County Council under and by virtue of
"The Public Works Act, 1882," the said Council has caused a
survey of the parcel of land, a description of which is given in
the Schedule hereto, to be made, and a plan thereof to be
prepared, in accordance with section 10, subsection 1, of the
said Act, which plan has been deposited at the County Council
Chambers, Waimate, for inspection, as provided by the afore-
said sections, and that the nature of the works proposed to be
executed on the said lands is the formation of a road for public
use.

And notice is hereby given that all persons affected by the
taking of such land or the formation of the said road are
hereby called upon to set forth in writing any and all well-
grounded objections to the formation of the said road or to the
taking of the said parcel of land, and to send the same, within
forty clear days from the first publication of this notice, to the
Waimate County Council aforesaid, whose office is in Queen
Street, Waimate, Provincial District of Canterbury.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement
2 acres, more or less, situate in the Hakateramea Survey
District, Provincial District of Canterbury aforesaid, being part
of Rural Section 31848; as the same is more particularly de-
lineated on the plan deposited, and coloured pink thereon.

THE THAMES VALLEY AND ROTORUA RAILWAY
COMPANY (LIMITED).

NOTICE is hereby given that, in accordance with the pro-
visions of "The District Railways Act, 1877," the above-
mentioned--the Thames Valley and Rotorua Railway Company
(Limited)--have caused the middle line and direction of the
railway proposed to be constructed under the said Act to be set
forth on a plan and described in a book of reference, showing
the lands required to be taken for the same, and the names of
the owners and occupiers of such lands, so far as they can be
ascertained; and copies of the said plan and book of reference
have been deposited at the under-mentioned public places in the
district within which the said railway is intended to be con-
structed, namely,--

The Post Office, Morrinsville;
The Resident Magistrate's Court, Hamilton;
The Resident Magistrate's Court, Cambridge; and at
The Public Works Office, Wellington.

Notice is also hereby given that the area it is proposed to
constitute a railway district for the purposes of the said Act
contains 548,000 acres or thereabouts, bounded as follows, that
is to say,-

Commencing at the north-west corner of Motumaho No. 2
Block; thence north-easterly along the northern and western
boundary of the said block and north-western boundary of the
Taukoro Block to the Piako River; thence southerly along the
western bank of the Piako River to its junction with the
Waitakaruru Stream; thence south-westerly along the centre
of the said last-mentioned stream to its junction with the
Topehaehae Stream; thence south-easterly along the centre of
the last-mentioned stream to the south-east corner of the Te
Mutu No. 2 Block; thence by a straight line bearing N. 52° E.,
202 chains, to the surveyed road-line from Morrinsville to the
Matamata Road, through the Maungapu Block; thence easterly
by the southern boundary of the said road to the north-east
corner of Subdivision Lot 4 of Block VIII., Maungakawa
Survey District; thence south-easterly by the south-west
boundary of the surveyed road to Matamata from Waihou
Township to the south-east boundary of Subdivision Lot 1 of
Block VIII., Maungakawa Survey District; thence easterly in
a straight line to the Waihou River, through Trig. 579;
thence by the south-east side of the said Waihou River to the
Wairere Stream; thence along the centre of the said Wairere
Stream to the north-east corner of Block Okauia No. 1; thence
by a line bearing S. 24° W., 426 chains; thence by a line bearing
S. 25° E., 130 chains; thence by a line bearing S. 10° E., 204
chains; thence by a line bearing S. 25° E., 185 chains; thence by
a straight line to the northernmost corner of Block Whaiti-
Kuranui No. 4A (northern portion); thence by the easterly
boundary of the last-mentioned block to the south-east corner
of Block Whaiti-Kuranui 4D; thence south-easterly along
the centre of the Waiwakangau Stream to the north-west
corner of Block Paengaroa No. 4; thence by the south-west
boundary of the last-mentioned block to the south-east
boundary of the same block; thence easterly by a straight line
to the north-east corner of Block Whaiti-Kuranui (northern
portion) 2D; thence by the south-east boundaries of Blocks
Whaiti-Kuranui (northern portion) 2D, 2E, 2B, 1A, 1B, and 1C

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore
subsisting between us as Shipowners, Shipbuilders, Ship-
brokers, and General Smiths, Wharfingers, and Coal Merchants,
under the style of "The Anchor Steam Shipping Company,"
has been dissolved so far as concerns the undersigned PETER
DONALD, and the said business will hereafter be carried on
under the same style by the other partners, who will henceforth
pay all debts owing by, and receive all moneys owing to, the
late partnership.
