the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael
and Saint George, Companion of the Most Hon-
ourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Com-
mander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony
of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-
Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal
of the said Colony, at Wellington, this thirty-first
day of October, in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and eighty-three.

A PROCLAMATION.

By virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in him by the fifty-third section of "The
Land Act 1877 Amendment Act, 1882," and of every other
power and authority enabling him in that behalf, His
Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of
the said colony, and at the request of the School Com-
missioners for the Otago Provincial District, in whom the
lands herein described are vested, doth hereby declare that
the blocks and sections of land enumerated in Schedules I.
and II. hereto, which have been reserved for educational
purposes, shall be sold subject to the provisions of "The
Land Act, 1877," for cash and on deferred payments
respectively, as in the said Schedules specified.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-second
day of October, 1883.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities
vested in him by "The Public Domains Act, 1881," His
Excellency the Governor of the colony, by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth
hereby revoke a certain Order in Council, dated the twentieth
day of May, one thousand eight hundred and eighty,
making delegation of certain powers in manner as therein
appears, and doth, with the like advice and consent, by this
present order delegate, but only with respect to the piece or
parcel of land described in the Schedule hereto, all the
powers conferred by the Act aforesaid, except the powers
under or conferred by sections five and twelve thereof, to the
under-mentioned persons, who shall be known as the West
Melton Public Domain Board, viz.,-
