Company, under the provisions of "The Mining Companies
Act, 1872."

  1. The name of the company is to be the Phoenix Gold-
    Mining Company (Limited).
  2. The place of intended operations is at Waiorongomai,
    Te Aroha Gold-Mining District.
  3. The registered office of the company will be situated at
    Shortland Street, Auckland.
  4. The nominal capital of the company is twenty-five
    thousand pounds, in twenty-five thousand shares of one
    pound each.
  5. The number of shares subscribed for is twenty-one
    thousand, being not less than two-thirds of the entire number
    of shares in the company.
  6. The number of shares paid up is nil.
  7. The amount already paid up is nil.
  8. The name of the Manager is Francis Angus White.

TAKE notice that it is intended to construct a water-race,
as shown in plan of Block II, Tiger Hill Survey Dis-
trict, and divert two heads of water for irrigation purposes,
commencing at a point in Muddy Creek, in Section 48, Block
II., Tiger Hill, and running through Sections 50, 49, 51, 53,
54, and 32, and terminating at Section 30, Block II., Tiger
Hill (the race is already constructed). Length, 5 miles;
breadth, 2 feet; depth, 1 foot. Dated at Black's, this 8th
day of October, 1883.
