A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by "The Education Reserves Act,
1877," it is, among other things, enacted
that, in order to provide an endowment for primary
education in the North Island, at least five per
centum of the waste lands in each district therein
open for sale on the first day of January, one thousand
eight hundred and seventy-eight, and a like per
centum out of all land over which the Native title
may thereafter be extinguished in each such district,
and which should from time to time be acquired or
purchased by or on behalf of the Crown, should be
reserved and set apart as an endowment for the
maintenance of primary education within the educa-
tion district in which the land is situated:

Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, the Ad-
ministrator of the Government of the Colony of
New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authori-
ties vested in me by the said recited Act, and of
every other power and authority me thereunto
enabling, do hereby reserve and set apart the several
blocks or parcels of land described in the Schedule
hereto as endowments for the maintenance of primary
education within the education districts in which
such blocks or parcels of land are respectively
situated.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial
District of Taranaki, containing by admeasurement
94 acres, being Section No. 68 on the map of Block
V., Huiroa Survey District. Bounded towards the
North-west by a road, 1571 links; towards the North-
east by Section No. 69, 3220 links; towards the
South-east by Sections Nos. 80, 79, and 78, 3737
links; and towards the South-west by the Railway
Reserve, 4780 links.

All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial
District of Taranaki, containing by admeasurement
46 acres and 27 perches, being Section No. 6 on the
map of Block XII., Hawera Survey District. Bounded
towards the North-east by a road, 3565 links;
towards the East by Section No. 5, 2650 links;

All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial
District of Taranaki, containing by admeasurement
towards the South-west by Sections Nos. 317 and
316, 4000 links.

All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial
District of Taranaki, containing by admeasurement
166 acres, being Section No. 16 on the map of Block
XII., Hawera Survey District. Bounded towards the
North-west by the Otoki River; towards the North-

X., Huiroa Survey District. Bounded towards the
North by Section No. 5, 5983 links; towards the East

tion No. 7, 5842 links; and towards the West by
Section No. 19, 2226 links.

District of Taranaki, containing by admeasurement
234 acres, being Section No. 4 on the map of Block
XIV., Huiroa Survey District. Bounded towards
the North by Section No. 45, 2939 links; towards
the North-east and East by a road and by Section
No. 5, 7344.6 links; towards the South-west by
Sections Nos. 16, 15, and 14, 4410 links; and towards
the West by Sections Nos. 3, 2, and 1, 5270 links.

District of Taranaki, containing by admeasurement
38 acres, being Section No. 1 on the map of Block
II., Ngaire Survey District. Bounded towards the
North by the Kahouri River; towards the East by

District of Taranaki, containing by admeasurement

and 11 on the map of Block II., Ngaire Survey
District. Bounded towards the North by Flint
