of Births and Deaths Act, 1875," I, James Prender-
gast, Chief Justice, the Administrator of the Govern-
ment of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby
abolish the existing registration districts known as
the West Taieri, Waipori, and Gabriel's Districts;
and do proclaim and declare that the territory here-
tofore comprised within the said districts is hereby
divided anew into two registration districts, the
names whereof shall be the West Taieri and Gabriel's
Districts, and the boundaries whereof shall be co-
terminous with the boundaries of the marriage dis-
tricts bearing the same names as are set forth in a
Proclamation of even date herewith, made under the
provisions of "The Marriage Act, 1880."
And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall
come into operation on the first day of September,
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and eighty-two.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir
James Prendergast, Knight, Chief Justice,
the Administrator of the Government of
Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand
and its Dependencies; and issued under
the Seal of the said Colony, at the
Government House, at Wellington, this
tenth day of August, in the year of
our Lord one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-two.

"The Cemeteries Management Act, 1877," and upon
the request of the governing bodies of the several
religious denominations named in the second column
of the Schedule hereto, I, James Prendergast, the
Administrator of the Government of the Colony of
New Zealand, do hereby permanently appropriate and
set apart the portions of the public cemetery known
as the Kaikoura Suburban Public Cemetery, being
Section number two hundred and sixty-four, as
delineated on the official map in the Survey Office,
Blenheim, and described in the first column of the
Schedule hereto, for the exclusive interment of the
bodies of members of the religious denominations
named in the second column of the Schedule afore-
said, opposite to the description of each portion of
the said cemetery respectively, upon such terms and
conditions as the Trustees, who were appointed by
warrant under the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, dated the twentieth day of January, one
thousand eight hundred and eighty-one, may require
to be performed and observed: Provided that such
terms and conditions are not inconsistent with the
known tenets or usages of the religious denomina-
tions named.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the persons entitled to vote at the
election of a member for the Breadalbane
Subdivision of the Taieri Road District failed to
hold an election on the day appointed by "The
Otago Roads Ordinance, 1871," and it is expedient to
appoint a day for holding the said election, as is pro-
vided by the tenth section of "The Otago Roads
Ordinance 1871 Amendment Ordinance, 1874:"
Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, the Ad-
ministrator of the Government of the Colony of New
Zealand, in exercise of the powers vested in me by
the said Ordinances, and by "The Abolition of Pro-
vinces Act, 1875," do hereby proclaim and appoint
that an election of a member for the Breadalbane
Subdivision of the said road district shall be held on
Wednesday, the twenty-third day of August, one
thousand eight hundred and eighty-two.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir

the Administrator of the Government of
Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand
and its Dependencies; and issued under
the Seal of the said Colony, at the
Government House, at Wellington, this

of England, subject to the conditions of
an agreement existing between the governing
body of that Church and the governing body
of the Presbyterian Church, dated the 21st
May, 1881.

Westward by a public road, 345 links

on the plan of the said cemetery, containing
by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods 30 1
perches. Bounded on the Northward by

by another cemetery road, 540-6 links; and on
the Westward by a public road, 311-9 links
