of Section 451; commencing at a point 891 links from
the northernmost corner of said section along south-
eastern boundary of Section 450. Bounded—Gene-
rally North-easterly by lines, 1421, 165, and 880 links
respectively, to a stream; South-easterly by said
stream; South-westerly by lines, 700, 149, and 1428
links respectively; North-westerly by Section 450,
100 links, to commencing point.

All that piece or parcel of land containing by ad-
measurement 1 acre 3 roods 15 perches, being por-
tion of Section 450; commencing at a point 1872 links
from the south-east corner of said section along the
south-western boundary of Section 448. Bounded—
North-easterly by a line, 1746 links; South-easterly
by Section 451, 100 links; South-westerly by a line,
1941 links; North-easterly by Section 448, 211 links,
to commencing point.

admeasurement 3 acres and 39 perches, being por-
tion of Section 409; commencing at a point 2318 links
from the Ball Road along south-western boundary of
Section 408. Bounded—North-easterly by lines, 778,

the Ball Road, 108 links; South-westerly by lines,

Section 409 aforesaid; commencing at a point on the
Ball Road 1151 links distant from the north-eastern
corner of said section. Bounded—North-easterly
by a line, 1201 links; North-westerly by a line, 100
links; South-westerly by a line, 1242 links; South-
easterly by the Ball Road to commencing point, 108
links.

Also that piece or parcel of land containing by ad-
measurement 1 acre 1 rood 8 perches, being portion

admeasurement 4 acres, being portion of Section 407;
commencing at a point 1742 links from the north-
ernmost corner of said section along the south-eastern
boundary of Section 406. Bounded—North-easterly
by lines, 923, 727, and 270 links respectively, to a
stream; South-easterly by a stream; South-westerly
by lines, 75, 419, 345, and 1283 links respectively;
and North-westerly to commencing point by Section
406, 165 links.

All that piece or parcel of land containing by
admeasurement 3 acres 2 roods, being portion of
Section 406; commencing at a point 1363 links from
north-eastern corner of said section along the
south-eastern boundary of Section 405. Bounded—
North-easterly by lines, 1226, 618, and 476 links
respectively; South-easterly by Section 407, 165
links; South-westerly by lines, 252, 588, and 1473
links respectively; North-westerly to commencing
point by Section 405, 152 links.

All that piece or parcel of land containing by
admeasurement 2 acres 2 roods 27 perches, being
portion of Section 405; commencing at a point on
the Manutahi Road 943 links from the north-eastern
corner of said section. Bounded—North-easterly by
lines, 93, 600, 201, 1000, 301, and 133 links re-
spectively; South-easterly by Section 406, 152 links;
North-westerly by lines, 162, 301, 1000, 201, 600,
and 74 links respectively; North-westerly by the
Manutahi Road, 101 links, to commencing point.

Be all the aforesaid areas and linkages either more
or less; and the several parcels of land being situated
in the Hawera and Carlyle Survey Districts, County
of Patea, Provincial District of Taranaki; and are
more particularly delineated upon the plan marked
P.W.D. 9078, deposited in the office of the Minister
for Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial
District of Wellington.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir
James Prendergast, Knight, Chief Justice,
the Administrator of the Government of
Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand
and its Dependencies; and issued under
the Seal of the said Colony, at the
Government House, at Wellington, this
fourth day of August, in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-two.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by a Proclamation issued under the
authority of sections one hundred and twenty-
two, one hundred and twenty-three, and one hundred
and twenty-four of "The Public Works Act, 1876,"
the middle line of a portion of the line of railway
from Foxton to New Plymouth, being one of the
railways specified in "The Public Works Act, 1879,"
was defined: And whereas pursuant to the one
hundred and twenty-fifth section of "The Public
Works Act, 1876," the Minister for Public Works
has caused to be made and, on the eighth day of
November, one thousand eight hundred and eighty,
to be deposited in the office of the Registrar of the
Supreme Court at New Plymouth, in the Provincial
District of Taranaki, such maps and plans as were
necessary to explain the said portion of the said line
of railway and the land through which the same
passes, and such maps and plans were referred to in
such Proclamation as aforesaid: And whereas "The
Public Works Act, 1879," enacts that such of the
railways mentioned therein as are unfinished may be
completed under the provisions of "The Public
Works Act, 1876," "The Public Works Act 1876
Amendment Act, 1878," and "The Public Works
Act, 1879:" And whereas the land described in the
Schedule hereto is required to be taken for the said
portion of the said line of railway :
