Gold-Mining Lease cancelled.

Wellington, 21st July, 1882.

IT is hereby notified that His Excellency the
Administrator of the Government has been
pleased to pronounce the under-mentioned gold-
mining lease cancelled, and that the ground is now
open for application as if no lease of the said ground
had ever been applied for:-

Thomas Jones; 16 acres 2 roods 19 perches,
Section 16, Block V., District of Mawheranui, Nelson
South-West Gold Fields. No. 880.

Gold-Mining Leases to be granted.

IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of
"The Mines Act, 1877," and with the regula-
tions made under that Act for the granting of leases
for gold-mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it
is intended to grant leases of Crown lands for gold-
mining purposes to the applicants specified in the
annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objec-
tions against such leases.

Objections to the granting of such leases, stating
the grounds of objection, must be made in writing,
and lodged with the Warden at Reefton on or before
the 30th day of August, 1882.

Copy of the applications made and plans annexed
may be seen at the Warden's Office at Reefton.

SCHEDULE.

APPLICANT: James Grieve. Style under which it
is intended to conduct the business: "Australian
No. 1 Quartz-Mining Company." 16 acres 2 roods,
north of the Dunedin Quartz-Mining Company's
lease, Inangahua, in the Nelson South-West Mining
District.

Applicant: William Hindmarsh. Style under
which it is intended to conduct the business: "Yel-
low Jacket Gold-Mining Company (Limited)." 16
acres 2 roods; bounded on the North by Inangahua
River, East by York's Creek, on all other sides by
Crown land, Inangahua, in the Nelson South-West
Mining District.

is intended to conduct the business: "South Wealth
of Nations Gold-Mining Company (Limited)." 16
acres 2 roods, south of the No. 2 North Keep-it-Dark
Company, Inangahua, in the Nelson South-West
Mining District.

Applicant: James Thorburn. Style under which
it is intended to conduct the business: "Daylight
Gold-Mining Company." 8 acres, south of the No. 2
Keep-it-Dark lease, Inangahua, in the Nelson South-
West Mining District.

Applicants: Henry Pringle, Antonio Gin, and
John McGaffin. Style under which it is intended
to conduct the business: "The Argus Quartz-Min-
ing Company (Limited)." 16 acres 2 roods, north
of the Yellow Jacket Company, Inangahua, in the
Nelson South-West Mining District.

Applicant: Patrick Brennan. Style under which
it is intended to conduct the business: "South
Wealth of Nations Gold-Mining Company." 16
acres 2 roods, south of the No. 2 Keep-it-Dark and
Pandora leases, Crushington, Inangahua, in the
Nelson South-West Mining District.
