NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT A WATER-
RACE.

Wakatipu, 31st March, 1882.
To the Mining-Registrar at Arrowtown.

I HEREBY give notice that I intend to construct
a Water-race to divert and use water for
mining purposes, commencing at a point in Twelve-
Mile Creek, Macetown, and terminating at the
Tipperary Mining Company's claim, Scanlan's Gully,
Macetown.

The length of such race is four and a half miles or
thereabouts, and its extended course is from north-
east; the mean depth of such race is 3 feet, and the
mean breadth is 3 feet; and it is proposed to divert
two Government-heads of water.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO EXTEND WATER-RACE
UNDER SECTION 31, SUBSECTION 11, OF "THE
MINES ACT, 1877."

To the Mining Registrar at Arrowtown of the
Wakatipu Mining District, and to all other per-
sons whom it may concern.

TAKE notice that it is intended to extend the
course of the Water-race belonging to the
Tipperary Mining Company, and lately held under
License No. 5741, dated the 9th May, 1879, which race
runs from the Twelve-Mile Creek to the Company's
machine site in Scanlan's Gully, by continuing such
course along the sides of Scanlan's Gully, by the
present water-race, until the race known as Jenkins'
Old Race is reached.

The length of the extension is about a quarter of a
mile; the breadth is about 2 feet; the depth is
about 18 inches. The quantity of water intended to
be carried is three sluice-heads, being the water

coming in from Twelve-Mile Creek through the Com-
pany's said race.

Dated at Dunedin, this 31st day of March, 1882.

register the Waitoki Gold-Mining Company as
a Limited Company under the provisions of "The
Mining Companies Act, 1872."

  1. The name of the Company is to be the Waitoki Gold-
    Mining Company (Limited).

  2. The place of operations is at Te Aroha, in the Provincial
    District of Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand.

  3. The registered office of the Company will be situated at
    the New Zealand Insurance Company's Buildings, Auckland,
    in the Provincial District of Auckland and Colony of New
    Zealand.

  4. The nominal capital of the Company is twenty thousand
    pounds, in twenty thousand shares of one pound each.
