Section No. 25899; thence by the road forming the
south-western boundary of said section to the road
forming the north-western boundary of Section No.
26456, by that road, and by the South Rakaia Road
to the north-eastern boundary of Run No. 124;
thence by the south-west boundaries of Runs Nos.
116 and 117, by part of the north-west boundary of
Run No. 118, by the south-west boundary of last-
mentioned run, part of the south-east boundary of
Run No. 118, part of the south-west boundary of Run
No. 91, part of the north-west boundary of Run No.
90; thence by the south-west boundaries of Runs
Nos. 90 and 129 to the sea; and on the South-east by
the sea to the place of commencement.
Mount Hutt.—Bounded on the North-east by the
Selwyn County; on the North-west by the north-
western boundary of Run No. 352; on the South-
west by the south-western boundary of Runs Nos.
352, 466, 502, and the north branch of the River Ash-
burton from the southernmost corner of Run No.
460 as far as the north-west corner of Run No. 106;
thence by the north-west boundary of that run, the
north-east boundaries of Runs Nos. 106 and 54;
thence by part of the north-west boundary of Run
No. 124 and part of the north-east boundary of said
Run No. 124 to the South Rakaia Road; and thence
towards the South and South-east by the South Rakaia
Licensing District to the place of commencement.
Ashburton.—Bounded towards the North-eastward
by the South Rakaia Licensing District; on the
North-westward by the Great Southern Railway; on
the South-westward by the Geraldine County; and
on the South-east by the sea to the place of com-
mencement.
Upper Ashburton.—Bounded towards the North-
east by the Mount Hutt Licensing District and the
South Rakaia Licensing District; towards the South-
east by the Ashburton Licensing District; towards
the South-west by the Geraldine County; towards
the North-west by the north-western boundary of
Run No. 499 to the River Hinds; thence by the said
river to the westernmost corner of Run No. 59;
thence by the north-western boundary of said run to
southern branch of River Ashburton; thence crossing
said river to the southernmost corner of Section No.
21039; thence by south-eastern boundaries of Section
No. 21039 aforesaid and Section No. 20559 to north
branch of River Ashburton; thence by said north
branch to the southernmost corner of Run No. 54;
thence by the south-eastern boundary of that run to
Mount Hutt Licensing District, the place of com-
mencement.
Mount Somers.—Bounded on the North-east by the
Selwyn County and Mount Hutt Licensing District;
on the South-east by the Upper Ashburton Licensing
District; on the South-west and West by the
Geraldine County; and on the North-west by West-
land County.
GERALDINE COUNTY.
Levels.—Bounded on the North by the Opihi
River; on the North-west and South-west by Section
No. 6192 on the Opihi River, following the water-
course therefrom and the stream flowing into the
Tengawai, the River Tengawai, to a point opposite to
Section No. 5209, crossing the river, and following
down a small stream to the River Pareora, and
thence by said river to the ocean; and on the East
by the ocean to the starting point: excluding the
Borough of Timaru.
Temuka.—Bounded on the South by the Opihi
River; on the South-east by the sea; on the North-
east by the Ashburton County; towards the North-
west by the Main South Road to Section No. 5961;
thence following the northern boundary-line of Sec-
tions Nos. 5961 and 11526 and a line in continuation
of the same to the eastern boundary of Section No.
9031; thence following the eastern and north-western
boundaries of the latter section to the Geraldine
Road; thence following that road south-easterly to
the road running through Section No. 7319; thence
following the latter road by trig. pole 5 and through
Section No. 3275 to the north-eastern corner of
Section No. 7462; thence following the eastern
boundary of Section No. 7462 to the south-east
corner thereof; thence following a straight line to
the south-west corner of Section No. 13741, and
from thence following the road forming the western
boundary of that section to the River Opihi, before-
mentioned, the place of commencement.
Geraldine.—Bounded towards the North-east by
the Ashburton County; thence generally towards
the North and West by a road leading from the
River Rangitata, within Reserve No. 1237 (in
red), to Tripp's Cutting on the high bank of the
Orari River, following the continuation of that road
to its junction with the road passing through Section
No. 9548; thence south-easterly, following the latter
road to the road running through Section No. 9010;
thence south-westerly, following that road to the
eastern boundary of Run No. 546; thence westerly
and southerly, following that boundary to the stream
running from the south-eastern corner of Run No.
546; thence following down that stream to its con-
fluence with the southern branch of the Haehaete-
moana, following up the said branch to the western
boundary of Run No. 548; thence following that
boundary and the River Opuha to a point in line
with the south-eastern boundary of Run No. 416;
thence following that line to the River Opihi;
towards the South by that river; and towards the
South and South-east by the Temuka Licensing Dis-
trict.
Mount Cook.—Bounded towards the North-west
by the County of Westland; towards the West and
South-west by the Waitaki County; towards the
South-east by the Waimate County; towards the
East by the Levels and Geraldine Licensing Dis-
tricts; and towards the North-east by the Ashbur-
ton County.
WAIMATE COUNTY.
Pareora.—Bounded towards the North by the
Geraldine County; towards the East by the sea;
towards the South by the River Makikihi and its
southernmost branch to its source, and also by an
east and west line drawn therefrom to the north
branch of the River Waihao; thence towards the
South-west by the River Waihao to its source, and
by an east and west line drawn therefrom to the
Hakateramea River; and towards the West by said
river to the place of commencement.
Makikihi.—Bounded towards the North by the
Pareora Licensing District; towards the East by the
sea; towards the South by the Deep Creek to its
source, and an east and west line drawn therefrom to
the north branch of the River Waihao; and towards
the West by the River Waihao to the place of com-
mencement.
