Fixing Shooting Season for Native and Imported Game,
License Fee, &c., Hawera District.

ARTHUR GORDON, Governor.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by "The
Animals Protection Act, 1880," I, Arthur Hamil-
ton Gordon, the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, do hereby notify that cock-pheasants and
Californian quail may be taken or killed within the
Hawera District, consisting of the County of Patea,
from the first day of May, one thousand eight hundred
and eighty-two, to the thirty-first day of July, one
thousand eight hundred and eighty-two, both inclu-
sive (subject nevertheless to the restrictions in the
said Act mentioned). And I do further notify that
licenses to take or kill such game within the said dis-
trict shall be issued on payment of the sum of thirty
shillings each, and that licenses to sell such game
shall be issued on payment of the sum of five pounds
each; and the Postmaster at Hawera is hereby ap-
pointed to issue the said licenses. And I do further
notify that native game (excepting tuis) may be
taken or killed within the said district from the first
day of April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
two, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand
eight hundred and eighty-two, both inclusive.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this fifteenth day of April,
one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
two.

Fee, &c., Otago District.

ARTHUR GORDON, Governor.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by "The
Animals Protection Act, 1880," I, Arthur Hamil-
ton Gordon, the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, do hereby notify that cock-pheasants and
Californian quail may be taken or killed within the
Otago District, being all that area in the Provincial
District of Otago, bounded on the East and South
by the ocean from Shag Point to the mouth of the
Mataura River; on the West, South-west, and South
by the Mataura River and the Counties of Southland
and Wallace; on the North-west by the ocean; and
on the North, North-west, and North-east by the
Counties of Westland and Waitaki, excepting there-
from the County of Lake, from the first day of June,
one thousand eight hundred and eighty-two, to the
thirty-first day of July, one thousand eight hundred
and eighty-two, both inclusive; and that hares may
be taken or killed within the said district from the
first day of May, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-two, to the thirty-first day of July, one
thousand eight hundred and eighty-two, both in-
clusive (subject nevertheless to the restrictions in
the said Act mentioned). And I do further notify
that licenses to take or kill such game within the
said district shall be issued on payment of the sum
of forty shillings each, and that licenses to sell such
game shall be issued on payment of the sum of five
pounds each; and the Chief Postmaster at Dunedin
is hereby appointed to issue the said licenses. And
I do further notify that Californian quail may be
taken or killed within the County of Lake from the
first day of May, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-two, to the thirty-first day of July, one
thousand eight hundred and eighty-two, both inclusive
(subject nevertheless to the restrictions in the said
Act mentioned). And I do further notify that
licenses to take or kill such game within the said
County of Lake shall be issued on payment of the
sum of thirty shillings each, and that licenses to sell
such game shall be issued on payment of the sum of

five pounds each ; and that the Postmaster at Queens-
town is hereby appointed to issue such licenses.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this fifteenth day of April,
one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
two.

Trustees appointed for the Maintenance of Palmerston
North Public Cemetery.

ARTHUR GORDON, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and au-
thorities vested in me by the second section of
"The Cemeteries Management Act, 1877," I, Arthur
Hamilton Gordon, the Governor of the Colony of
New Zealand, do hereby appoint the several persons
whose names are specified in the first column of the
Schedule hereto to be Trustees to provide for the
maintenance and care of the public cemetery speci-
fied in the second column of the said Schedule.

PALMERSTON NORTH.
All that parcel of land in the Pro-
vincial District of Wellington, containing
by admeasurement 8 acres 3 roods 2
perches, more or less, being Section No.
1537 on the plan of the Township of
Palmerston North. Bounded towards
the North-east by a railway reserve, 667
links; towards the South-east by a public
road, 2395 links; and towards the South-
west and North-west by a railway reserve,
87 links and 2325 links respectively: be
all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this eighteenth day of April,
one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
two.

of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the several per-
sons whose names are specified in the first column of
the Schedule hereto to be Trustees to provide for the
maintenance and care of the public cemetery speci-
fied in the second column of the said Schedule.

by Crown land; on the Eastward, 500
links, partly by Crown land and partly
by a public road; on the Southward, 600
links, by Crown land; and on the West-
ward, 500 links, by Crown land.
