"The Dog Registration Act, 1880," extended to
County of Mongonui.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by a Proclamation under "The Dog
Registration Act, 1880," dated the sixth day
of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-one,
and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the
seventh day of July, one thousand eight hundred
and eighty-one, the County of Mongonui was ex-
cluded from the operation of the said Act: And
whereas it is expedient to extend the operation of
the said Act to the said County of Mongonui:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise
of the powers vested in me by the said "Dog Regis-
tration Act, 1880," do hereby declare that the opera-
tion of the said Act is extended to the County of
Mongonui, and that such operation shall take effect
from the date hereof.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the
Honorable Arthur Hamilton Gordon,
Knight Grand Cross of the Most Dis-
tinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Her Majesty's High
Commissioner for the Western Pacific,
Governor and Commander-in-Chief in

IN pursuance of the power and authority vested in
him by the one hundred and forty-fifth section
of "The Public Works Act, 1876," and of all other
powers and authorities in anywise enabling him, His
Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council thereof, doth hereby cancel By-law

Fixing Shooting Season for Native and Imported Game,
License Fee, &c., Nelson District.
ARTHUR GORDON, Governor.
IN exercise of the powers vested in me by "The
Animals Protection Act, 1880," I, Arthur Hamil-
ton Gordon, the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, do hereby notify that cock-pheasants and
Californian quail may be taken or killed within the
Nelson District, consisting of the Counties of Waimea,
Buller, and Collingwood, from the fifteenth day of
May, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-two, to
the thirty-first day of July, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-two, both inclusive (subject
nevertheless to the restrictions in the said Act men-
tioned). And I do further notify that licenses to
take or kill such game within the said district shall
be issued on payment of the sum of twenty shillings
each, and that licenses to sell such game shall be
issued on payment of the sum of five pounds each;
and the Chief Postmaster at Nelson is hereby ap-
pointed to issue the said licenses. And I do further
notify that native game (excepting tuis) may be
taken or killed within the said district from the first
day of April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
two, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand
eight hundred and eighty-two, both inclusive.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this first day of April, one
thousand eight hundred and eighty-two.

Grey.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by "The

ton Gordon, the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, do hereby declare that native game (ex-
cepting tuis) may be taken or killed within the
County of Grey, excepting the Borough of Grey-
mouth, during the period between the first day of
April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-two,
and the thirty-first day of July, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-two, both inclusive.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this first day of April, one
thousand eight hundred and eighty-two.

Zealand, do hereby notify that cock-pheasants and
Californian quail may be taken or killed within the
Marlborough District, consisting of the Counties of
Marlborough and Sounds, excepting the area de-
scribed in the Schedule hereto, from the first day of
May, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-two,
to the thirty-first day of May, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-two, both inclusive (subject
nevertheless to the restrictions in the said Act
mentioned). And I do further notify that licenses to
