District constituted under "The Marriage Act, 1880."

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and au-
thority vested in the Governor by "The Marriage
Act, 1880," I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the Governor
of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the
existing marriage districts known as the North Taieri
and East Taieri Districts, and do proclaim and declare
that the territory heretofore comprised within the
said districts is hereby included in one marriage dis-
trict, the name and boundaries whereof shall be as
follow:-

EAST TAIERI DISTRICT.

Bounded towards the North from the confluence
of the Allen Creek with the Taieri River, by said
creek to its source near Trig. F; thence by
a right line due east to the Silver Peak Range;
towards the East and North-east by the summit of
said range to the Silver Peak; thence by a right line
to Trig. S, Swampy Hill; towards the South by
the Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District to
the road which forms the eastern boundary of Section
No. 13 of Block V. of said district; again towards
the East and South-east by said road forming the
eastern and south-eastern boundaries of Sections
Nos. 13, 16, 17, 22, 23, 24, 62, and 2 of 25, all of
Block V. of said district, to and across a road-line
which forms the eastern boundary of Section No. 10
of Block IV.; thence by that road-line, being the
eastern boundary of Sections Nos. 9 and 8 of said
block, and of Section No. 65 of Block VI., and by a
road-line passing through Sections Nos. 13 and 50,
and forming the south-eastern boundaries of Sections
Nos. 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6; thence by a road-line
forming the western boundaries of Sections Nos. 16,
18, 19, 1 of 20, 30, all of said Block VI., to Abbott's
Creek; thence by said creek and the Kaikorai River
to the ocean; again towards the South-east by the
ocean to the mouth of the Taieri River; and towards
the West by the said river to the mouth of the Allen
Creek: as the same is delineated on the plans de-
posited in the Survey Office, Dunedin.

And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall
come into operation on the first day of April, in
the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and eighty-two.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the
Honorable Arthur Hamilton Gordon,
Knight Grand Cross of the Most Dis-
tinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Her Majesty's High
Commissioner for the Western Pacific,
Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-
Admiral of the same; and issued under
the Seal of the said Colony, at Christ-
church, this ninth day of March, in the
year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-two.

District constituted under "The Registration of Births
and Deaths Act, 1875."

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and au-
thority vested in the Governor by "The Regis-
tration of Births and Deaths Act, 1875," I, Arthur
Hamilton Gordon, the Governor of the Colony of
New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing regis-
tration districts known as the North Taieri and East
Taieri Districts; and do proclaim and declare that the
territory heretofore comprised within the said dis-
tricts is hereby included in one registration district,
the name whereof shall be the East Taieri District,
and the boundaries whereof shall be coterminous with
the boundaries of the marriage district bearing the
same name as is set forth in a Proclamation of even
date herewith, made under the provisions of "The
Marriage Act, 1880."

And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall
come into operation on the first day of April, in
the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and eighty-two.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the

Vaccination Districts constituted.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in
the Governor by "The Public Health Act,
1876," I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the Governor
of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the
existing vaccination district known as the Ashburton
District; and do declare that the territory heretofore
comprised within the said district is hereby divided
anew into two vaccination districts, the names whereof
shall be the Rakaia and Ashburton Districts, and the
boundaries whereof shall be coterminous with the
boundaries of the marriage districts bearing the same
names as are set forth in a Proclamation of even date
herewith, made under the provisions of "The Marriage
Act, 1880."

As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this ninth day of March, one
thousand eight hundred and eighty-two.
