Alteration of Boundaries of the Matamata Highway | do hereby abolish the highway districts constituted
District, County of Piako.
JAMES PRENDERGAST,
Administrator of the Government.
UNDER and in pursuance of the powers and
authorities vested in me by an Act of the Pro-
vince of Auckland intituled "The Highways Act,
1874," and by "The Abolition of Provinces Act,
1875," I, James Prendergast, the Administrator of
the Government of the Colony of New Zealand,
hereby notify that, from and after the date hereof, the
boundaries of the Matamata Highway District shall
be those set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Provincial District of Auckland,
situated in the Piako County, and bounded from the
south side of the bridge across the Waitoa River,
near the termination of the south-eastern boundary
of land granted to J. L. Campbell; towards the North
by a right line; thence to the south-west corner of
the Hungahunga Block No. 3, by the said block, by
Hungahunga No. 1 Block, by Hungahunga No. 4
Block, and by the northern boundary-line of Aratia-
tia Block to the Waihou River; towards the North-
east by the said river to the Wairere Stream; again
towards the North-east and towards the North by
that stream to the termination of a right line, being
the production in a northerly direction of the eastern
boundary of the Okania No. 4 Block; thence again
towards the North-east by the said right line to the
north-eastern angle of the Okania No. 4 Block last
named; thence by the eastern boundary-line of the
Okania No. 4 Block aforesaid for a distance of 6000
links, more or less, to an angle on the same; towards
the South and South-west by lines running parallel
to and at a distance of 3000 links from the southern
boundary of the last-named block to the confluence
of the Mangawhero and Waihou Rivers; towards the
South-east by the Mangawhero River aforesaid to the
Mangawhara No. 1 Block, by that block and Blocks
Nos. 1B, 2, 3, and 4, and the Okoroire and Waipa Blocks
to the Waikato River; towards the South-west and
West generally by that river, by the Hinuwera No.
2 Block, by the north-western and north-eastern
boundary-lines of Te Tapui Block to the Mangapapa
River, and across and by that river and by the Waitoa
River to the bridge before mentioned: as the same is
delineated on the plans in the Survey Office, Auck-
land.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Administrator of the Government, this
sixteenth day of December, one thousand
eight hundred and eighty-two.

Hawke's Bay.

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers and
authorities vested in me by an Ordinance of
the Province of Hawke's Bay, intituled "The High-
ways Act, 1871," and by "The Abolition of Provinces
Act, 1875," I, James Prendergast, the Administrator
of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand,
under the said "Highways Act, 1871," and named
The Clive Highway District.
The Havelock Highway District.
The Heretaunga Highway District.
The Te Mata Highway District.
The Puketapu Highway District.
The Petane Highway District.
The Redclyffe Highway District.
The Okawa Highway District.
The Maraekakaho Highway District.
The Kereru and Aorangi Highway District.
The Papakura Highway District.
The Meanee Highway District.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Administrator of the Government, this
sixteenth day of December, 1882.

Constituting Highway Districts in the County of
Hawke's Bay.
JAMES PRENDERGAST,

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers and
authorities vested in me by an Ordinance of
the Province of Hawke's Bay intituled "The High-
ways Act, 1871," and by "The Abolition of Provinces
Act, 1875," I, James Prendergast, the Administrator
of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand,
do hereby create those portions of the Provincial
District of Hawke's Bay, described in the Schedule
hereto, to be highway districts under the said
"Highways Act, 1871," and I declare that the names
and boundaries of the said districts shall be those
described in the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE.
PATEA.-Commencing at the junction of the Tarua-
rau Stream with the Ngaruroro River; thence follow-
ing the Taruarau Stream to the western boundary of
Harding's Run; thence in a south-westerly direction
to Pikirangi; thence in a southerly direction along
the old provincial boundary to the present county
boundary; thence in a westerly direction to Trigs. 30
and 32; thence northerly to Trigs. 16, 24, and 28;
thence easterly to Trigs. 27 and 26; thence still
easterly in the direction of Trig. 65A to the Ngaruroro
River; and thence following the said river to the
starting point.
OKAWA.-Commencing at the bridge over the
Tutaekuri River near Redclyffe; thence following the
western boundary of the Meanee District in a
generally southerly direction to the present course
of the Ngaruroro River; thence following the Nga-
ruroro River in a north-westerly direction to the
Hawke's Bay County boundary; thence easterly to
Trig. 65A; thence in a south-easterly direction to the
head of the Tutaekuri River; and thence following
the said river to the starting point.
PUKETAPU.-Commencing on the Kaweka Range
at Trig. 65A; thence south-easterly to the head of the
Tutaekuri River; thence down the said river to the
western boundary of Block I., Puketapu District;
thence northerly along the boundary of Meanee
District to the Ahuriri Harbour; thence following
the edge of the harbour in a north-westerly direction
to the north-west boundary of the Wharerangi
Native Reserve; thence in a north-westerly direction
to the eastern boundary of the Apley Estate; thence
following the east and north boundaries of that
estate to the Mangaone River; thence up that river
